Thanks for the visits and sorry I missed some of you after falling asleep early.

Ella & Rusty, thanks on her numbers. I had to keep raising her dose with the stress of the Megacolon and meds and renal disease. She's not always out of the yellows, but we are seeing more blues.

Anne & Zener, I love the pic of Detective Cat. Nothing to report yet though! I'm thinking I may need to add another dose of Lactulose. She's allowed up to three and thus far she was doing okay on two doses.

Wendy & Neko :lol: :lol: on California girl cats in their bikinis and shaved nekid bellies. Muffin and Maggie are the bare belly Cali girlies!

Teresa & Poopy, :lol: :-D on the pic of the girls sunbathing with nekked bellys. Love that pic!

Marje, yes numbers are looking better. I'm thinking a couple more cycles I may need to raise her a drop. With all that she has going on, I worry with her dipping into low greens and feeling lethargic. She is very carb sensitive though anf brought up easily Any thoughts!

Jane, I ended up spending too long walking up and down the grocery store aisles and not buying much real food. I bought take out Panda Express (little restaurant inside grocery store), organic strawberries, a slice of chocolate cake, Gerber bf for Maggie, litter, furry mouse. It was so hot I hated to get loaded down with groceries, and I can order online from this store and delivered and brought inside.

Morning ~O) ~O) and not to make this too long, most news is above. Maggie is wide eyed and playful but no poo. Normally she starts feeling not well when she doesn't go, but she's been vocal, good appy. Her +3 or +4 may be rather high as I just tried an experiment. Have a nice day everyone. I just plan on resting and reading. Some cleaning, too, ugh!
Healing vines to all kitties needing them.

ETA: News Flash -- Maggie just left a nice, long and healthy prezzie at 9:30 am! I smelled the aroma! :-D

Not as bad a spike as i thought, but it may catch up with her later!

Thanks for the visits Amy, Jane and Teresa and for the poo vines. Well, the IM Vet gave me some free cans of Royal Canin Renal LP Modified food to try. I tried a little last evening before Maggie's bedtime and also this morning, along with a little Wellness Turkey. Maggie surprised me by lapping it up. It's morsels in gravy though and HC but low in Phosphorus. I was just giving it a try to show my Vet what happens. Some of the Royal Canin is on Dr. Lisa's list for the low phosphorus, but the carbs are high.

Maggie Poo loves the way Poopy talks to her and ses thanks!

Hi Ann. Did the vet not believe it would raise Mags' bg? So far, so good. Glad she is happy and playful today, that makes the mamabean happy too. :-D

Good news! Prezzies delivered! :-D Detectives Poo and Crapdash will be happy plus me, too!

The +6 blue is a nice surprise! I took a very short walk and felt tired so went btd for almost 1.5 hours. Did not sleep, just rested. When I got up, Maggie was sitting in her testing spot waiting for me! Aren't they amazing at times!

Ok Maggie - get those numbers back down and prezzies, please?

Lisa :lol: Maggie sure listened to the first part, and she now just delivered a nice long healthy size prezzie.

Hi Barb & Checkers, hope you're feeling better. The IM Vet didn't give a clear cut answer when I mentioned the carbs. I guess this is why she was feeling so good as she knew the prezzies were coming.

WOO HOO! We have prezzies!!! Inspector Poo will be elated. Good job Miss Maggie. And great Numbers too - I love that +6. Almost green Maggie! It is so cool that Maggie asked to be tested. Nice that she let you nap too. Cats are indeed amazing creatures.

I like your food experiment. I know Royal Canin - it is what I used for BJ, since the phosphorous level was a good one. I do know too that the carb level is a little high, maybe 8% ?? It did make a significant difference in her renal values. She really liked the food, so did Mannie, so it was a constant vigil while she ate to make sure that he didn't raid her fuds bowl. :lol: :lol:

Hi Michelle, that's good to know that this particular renal food helped BJ! Yes, the phosphorus level is great. I almost didn't try the food because of the carbs but so glad I did. Maggie loves it, surprisingly! It didn't seem to cause as high a spike as i thought, and I was really surprised to see the blue 114!

Ooooh! I just wanna rub that little nekkid belly. She looks so cute. Maggie's hair is quite plush and thick.

Interesting experiment with the Royal Canin food, and nice +6 in spite of that.

FWIW, some cats actually do as well or better on a slightly higher carb diet. It all depends on how carb sensitive YOUR cat is. It's decidedly an ECID thing.

Sienne, interesting with the higher carb. I'm watching her numbers on this Royal Canin Renal LP Modified to see how she does with her numbers. Mags is usually carb sensitive, and she does seem to be climbing. I have one more check.

Oops! Well, that experiment on food sure went south! I had a feeling it was too high in carbs for sensitive Maggie. Phosphorus was good but too high in carbs

I think the dose is okay so far; it was just the food experiment with the Royal Canin that was a bust, too many carbs! I have some other choices to try.

Hi Ann, Have you tried the trick of adding chopped hard-boiled egg whites to Maggie's regular food? They are supposed to add protein and have no phosphorus. If Maggie will eat the egg whites it might help.
