Hi guys .. ouch on this mornings numbers! What's up with that clyde? I hope you decide to come down today, but nice and slow does it! I won't be here tomorrow, so have a great weekend!

Richie - don't be concerned yet, it's gonna take a little while for you to convince Clyde's body that you ain't givin' up the fight. I think we had a breakthru yesterday, 30 days into Lantus use. You're already on the path - it'll start leveling out...

It can take a little time, but Clyde will get there and start giving you lower numbers more consistently. Sometimes it seems like it will take forever, but it does happen - I promise. In the meantime, keep posting and asking questions. You're doing a great job!!!

Thanks for the encourageing words gang! I keep telling him we'll get there. Now I do have a check up with him at the vet on Saturday. He's just checking his BG +6, & his weight. I was thinking of rescheduling at a later date till I start seeing his #'s come down. What do you guys think? Maybe best to take him?

I think the vet visit is up to you. If it were me, I'd put it off a little longer because YOU can give him those readings, both MORE numbers AND his weight. If you don't have a scale to weigh him, you can buy one for about the price of the vet visit (unless you're lucky like us - $10/visit). The +6 at the vet isn't going to tell them much, it's just one single number affected by environment. This is MY OPINION ONLY! YOU do what YOU feel comfortable doing for both you and sweet boy. If your vet gets upset when you don't visit and will quit cooperating, then take that into consideration too.

Now that you have my two cents, you can add $5 and buy a McD coffee.......... :-D

I keep forgetting to tell you - I spent most of 2000 and 2001 working each week in Freehold and flying back home over the weekends. I loved that town. I was working for what was then GTE/Bell Atlantic managing the testing and implementation of the new 'data division' of what is now Verizon. Every time I see 'Freehold, NJ', it sure brings back memories.
 
Lyresa, I'll try not to spill that Mcdonalds cup of coffee...lol. I may just take him & let the Vet give him a once over. Keep the line of comm open. I love living in Freehold, we're only 15mins from the beach. I know exactly where you're talking about. I'm sure you've hit the mall on many occassion. The mall has had a facelift. They've added a Cheescake factory, PF Changs, plus added a lot of upscale stores inside.

I hate to be a pain in the neck but could you please use the Google template for your spreadsheet? Not everyone has Excel. It really limits the number of people who can give you help. It also means you have to remember to link your SS to every post. If you follow the directions, you will set up a link to the spreadsheet in your signature.
 
No you're not a pain! I was having difficulty uploading it. I'll try again. I thought I saw a post about "if you have a problem uploading",for some reason it kept telling me the template was unavailable.
