I think a +5 would be a good idea. That way you can see if he is dropping fast or if he is doing a slow slide and go from there for when you feel the need to test after that.

Thank you! yes... in any case I am not going to bed any time soon :/ Only when I see he's on his way up again, usually around +7

He is not feeling too well though, and this time I really don’t know what it is. Ketones are negative, poops are fine, no nitrates in the pee.... :/

How can you tell he's not feeling well? Perhaps he's not used to have a somewhat normal blood glucose? It's gotta feel strange to him after all those higher numbers...

That’s what I wondered... I wonder what the feeling is. He was very annoyed last night, wagging his tail, eyes half closed. This morning he is clearly bouncing. And not feeling comfortable, going from a resting spot to another. But he eats. So I am not sure.
