498- ahhhhh,
I don't think it's a bounce because it wasn't well into the 500's, and it was on a high pink/3.4u dose. I'm more inclined to think it just didn't last this time. Was the test right at +12, late, or early? I only wonder that because numbers can rise fast at +12, so hopefully it was ok mid cycle. Do you know if he ate before the test?
he seems to alternate red / pink preshots, so tomorrow i'm betting pink again :shock: come on Klinger- cut it out!

Usually I get home a few minutes before +12. I was stuck in traffic last night, so DH did the test probably 10 minutes later than normal.
When I woke up this morning, he was eating. Tested him as quickly as I could and he was 513. Will test him again at normal pre-shot time.

Hi Marcie,
I'm so sorry I haven't checked in for a bit. Please I don't mean to butt in at all. You're still running so high and you and Nancy are working so well together. Just wondering - have you thought at all about going up on the high end of your scale. It might help some with bringing those 400's to HI's down. Please Nancy I hope you don't mind me looking over things a bit. I don't mean to be a creep about things at all.
I tried reading back over all your past few days. Again please forgive me - have you thought anymore about getting the acro and IAA tests done? Looking at your numbers and seeing what Klinger does with his doses - just has me concerned for you.
Please I don't mean to upset anything at all so if I'm upsetting the applecart - I can just be a cheerleader too!

hey Patti ,
No problem, as a matter of fact I did send her a slightly more aggressive scale last night when I saw that she upped it on her own a bit. I know he's still in bad pre-shot numbers, but he does have a lot of movement, and regularly drops 270 points on about 3.5u, so we have been trying to be careful not to cause him to bounce really high again like last weekend. Unfortunately, mid week, mid cycle testing isn't an option, so we can't SEE those yellows!
original scale------dose---- more aggressive scale
over 500 ----------3.6u --- > 480
400-500 ----------3.5u --- 380-480
350-400 ----------3.4u --- 330-380
300-350 ----------3.2u --- 300-330
------------------2.8u --- 280-300
250-300---------- 2.6u --- 250-280
As many of us have experienced, Prozinc is slow to settle in, so its easy to get impatient. Marcie's doing a great job, balancing work and Klinger the best she can, and trying to make this insulin work. Cheer leaders are welcome!

I need your experience on a couple things (Marcie, Patti is one of the moderators of the high dose ISG and has seen/helped tons of HD kitties long before I knew acro existed):
Klinger "fits" many of the acro traits, (belly, BIG cat 20 pounds?, snores, survived 7u, and maybe others I'm forgetting) but I'm actually torn about this. He really eats very little (like 7-10 ounces/day I think, and leaves food for "later" ) My little acro maniac licks the plate clean in 2 sec, and begs for more - all 6-8x/day he eats!) And Klinger shows a pretty steep curve with prozinc 270 pt drop- Cody had a curve, but 100 pts was a lot, regardless of the dose.
Klinger had a difficult ss, but as I've focused hard on interpreting his movement, it actually is pretty predictable, so I feel like I "get that", and we are working him down the color scale. If you notice a couple weeks ago he was seeing lots of blacks and high reds. Now he's seeing alternating pinks and low reds, ( and one black when he bounced off a higher dose on a lower ps). So, in your experience, is it unusual for a HD kitty to drop 270 pts on a 3 1/2 u?
