"Oh...can that be the alarm already? Wait, no...that's not the alarm sound. What is that sound? Ah.....it's kitty pukus at 5 am." And so began the morning. Zener had a lovely blue night and started the early morning off with a grass pukus. His last time outside was about 9pm, so that was his last chance to eat some grass or he could have munched on some earlier in the day. Liz got up and did the clean up. All seemed fine with the big guy and 30 minutes later he was eating his breffis.

At least the pukus didn't seem to affect Zener too much. Nice slide into blue at +4.5.

@rhiannon - the big guy dipped his paddy paws in the blue this morning, who knows what will happen tonight.

@Anne & Muffin - you are so right, there's always something worse....like stepping in cold kitty pukus in the morning.

@carla - his appy didn't suffer from the grass pukus and we are grateful.

We are ending our first week of dental care for Zener. We started with just a wet QTip on his teeth, using the technique on the Cornell veterinary video. Wednesday our CET mouth rinse came, so the last two days I've used that on the QTip in place of water. If I catch him deep in nap slumber, he doesn't resist too much. I think it's getting a little easier on us. A treat of freeze dried chicken afterward helps!

Wishing everyone a restful Friday evening! cat_pet_icon

I am so impressed that you can take care of Zener's teeth!! I used to give Copper(GA) the CET chews.. That was about all he would tolerate..
Moonie will never let me near her mouth!! That Zener is such a good boy!
Nice slidage too-Sending Hugs & Love from us!!

Re: 9/28/12 Zener PMPS 311

Hi Anne & Liz, sorry about the pukus for Zener. He had such a nice slide going on there til the PMPS. Glad the wet QTip treeth brushing is working. You just reminded me I need to get more with it on the toothies brushing for Maggie.
Detective Poo and Detective Crapdash, nothin yet from Mags! I dunno; maybe she's starting a new routine! @-)

Re: 9/28/12 Zener PMPS 311

That pink is more a salmon color, so close to yellow! You can do it Zener, down you go again.

Nothing like the sound of a hairball pukus to wake the beans from a dead sleep. It gets both of us moving, as we both wonder whether the target is something easy to clean and can we get there early enough to direct it. Good job on the dental care, it sounds like Zener is a cooperative cat.

Re: 9/28/12 Zener PMPS 311

Ok, Zener....let's break that bounce!!! I'm glad the grass pukus didn't affect Z's appy today...nothing like a yakking cat to really wake you up, right?

Have a great night, guys!!
