Yesterday's condo

Looks like it's going to be a long day. Be back later to add more and get some advice on what to do with her tonight....of course it's way too early for anything definite.

Well now that was exciting!! I'm sure we'll pay for it later, but I wasn't happy with how hard it was to get her up...usually 1 meal of MC brings her up within 30 minutes but it didn't this time. No more food for a couple hours (unless she drops below 50 again) so I can see if she's going to stay up or we're going to need to give more gravy.

Edited to Add....now that's better..now that she's up to 110, I can relax a little, and give her a break from poking. I don't blame her for being a little testy with me at this point though. Will check again in a couple of hours to make sure she stays up...of course if that little voice in my head tells me to check before then, I have learned to trust it.

She really wants you to take notice of how well she's doing on the juice!

Today isn't over yet I guess....I hadn't planned on re-checking for another 30 but that little voice in my head was telling me to do it now...and she had dropped to 52, so gave her a little LC food plus a baby teaspoon of gravy and will see where we're at in a little while

I think I may not shoot anything tonight if she doesn't bounce into the stratosphere by then. Let that depot drain a little...but we got plenty of time to figure that out later!

Oh yeah Doreen! It definitely woke me up! At some point today, I'm going to need to go out and get more FF with gravy, but I have enough for today (I hope)...but I've also got syrup if I need it

I feel a little awful for almost wishing she'd go ahead and bounce...at least then I could relax. It's pretty stressful to be at these really low numbers. Every time she sneezes, or stretches, or blinks her eyes I worry that there's something wrong, and she is really getting tired of the pokes. The only thing she eats without a lot of prodding is the gravy part of the gravy lovers, which is good when I am trying to get her up, but I'd like to only use that when it's really necessary to bring up those really low numbers, and use her regular low carb stuff to steer the numbers when they're in the 50's

Guess I'll just have to see where we're at as the afternoon progresses...but I'm not looking forward to PMPS time when I know I'm going to have to make a decision to shoot, or not to shoot

I went through a few cycles back to back a while ago like what you are going through...so draining.

but, the good news is......perhaps you won't have to go back up that dosing ladder any time soon!

I never thought I would ever be out of HC food before either...until that episode happened and I finally had to make a mad dash to Walmart at midnight! I hope you don't have to do that tonight....

and I also TOTALLY understand that creeping dread so worried about that PMPS....what to do...what to do? i delayed so many shots before and i never got anywhere because without food Tom's numbers just stayed low...i know how you feel secretly wishing for a nice high value come shot time...which is so NOT RIGHT! but sometimes your nerves and body just need a rest.....

good luck....you are doing such an awesome job keeping her safe and healing.....

will be watching

Yeah, I felt awful hoping for a bounce, and when I got it, I was a little disappointed...how's that for being totally nuts?? It made it easier to shoot, but I would have rather seen a nice mid 100's blue....but considering where she was, and how much syrup/carbs she got, I really can't complain about a low yellow number.

Now for the real embarrassing confession...I totally screwed up and gave the PMPS shot way early. I'm so programmed at this point to shooting at the same times, that when 6pm came around, I didn't even think and just did what I always do and tested/shot/fed China. As soon as I did it, I knew I'd screwed up but it was too late at that point. I can only hope that she surfs a nice safe number tonight, but of course, I'm going to be nervous and doing a lot of testing.

I feel just awful :cry: :oops:

Well it looks like she's breaking another small bounce...be interesting to see where she is tomorrow at AMPS time, especially considering how badly I screwed up tonight. She's feeling really frisky tonight and driving me crazy, but it's a nice kind of crazy I guess. She keeps knocking stuff off the table just to see it hit the floor, and then she loses interest in whatever she just knocked off, and finds something new to start playing with until it hit the floor too

Silly China :-D :-D
