Hello!!
Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=125996
Billie was coughing a lot overnight, and sure enough, this morning I found a cluster of new hives on and around her tail close to the ones that popped up the day before yesterday  At least it's obvious that the symptoms are connected. That makes it slightly less frustrating. But it's really frustrating, and I feel really bad for Billie. I'm going to call the specialist on Monday and see what she thinks.
We're on day two of Wild Calling! and that is going well. Wendy, thanks so much for linking Ann's chart of food info. That's awesome. It looks like the rabbit is basically 0 carb which is not ideal but the buffalo is 7.8%. If I mix the two, that will work out. I tried that tonight. Billie doesn't seem to like the buffalo as much as the rabbit, but she ate some of it.
I gave both cats Advantage today on the off chance that fleas are the problem. Billie does have a flea allergy - I know that from a few years ago when we moved into an apartment that turned out to be flea infested, and she broke out in hives. In that case, she was very clearly covered in fleas. I think fleas are unlikely because I haven't found any on either cat, they don't go outdoors, and the 3 vets we saw didn't find any evidence of fleas on her, but who knows. I'm just trying to cover all bases.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn has some leaky anal glands. This happens to her maybe once a year, and it usually ends in a trip to the vet to get them expressed. So, that may be in my future this week. :YMSIGH:
Sending vines to all the cats and beans needing vines!
