We have him playing trumpet, viola, piano and guitar, and his sister who has been playing the violin since she was 6 years old. Lots of music, concerts and practice, it's great! Playing in pep band will be new for us this year. I know soccer (I'm French) but I have never been to a football game, so that will be a big first as well!
 
He sounds like a well-rounded and very talented young musician -- and his sister is on her way too! Very impressive.
What part of France are you from? I spent some months in Toulouse and Lacoste, but that was many years ago. I would love to go back, especially to Lacoste. One of these days ... :)
 
They both are. She is 17 and plays at professional level. He is 15 and plays at this level for trumpet as well. He plays viola very well, and piano and guitar for fun but music is his passion!
I am from Lyon, I lived in Provence for all my childhood, close to Orange, in the southeastern part of France, where you can find Roman ruins everywhere. I went to Toulouse only once but remember it as a beautiful city! Do you live in DC now? I liked it because there were older parts, like in Boston (I lived there a few years). I miss that here, it's all new!
