Good Morning, Everyone,

What's to say? I hope this pink is the end of the reaction to the trip to the city! The first reading was 331 and taken on the Relion Micro that I have been using for several years, but that has seemed sluggish in recent months, even though I recently changed the battery. So I took a second reading on my Arkray Mini (the same meter as the Relion Micro) and got 301. Later I will test both of them on myself, but I think that it's time to start using the Arkray as my principal meter. Rusty's shot this morning was from the new cartridge, begun last night. I will give him a day or so and will do a dosecrease to 1.75 Units (from 1.5 fat) if he shows no improvement. I hate seeing him in these recent high numbers, which were higher than his normal even before our trip to NYC.

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. It is much colder here than in the city, and today is overcast and damp. He had a good breakfast of Wellness Chicken and a good shot. He's napping on his little bed by the radiator. Poor guy is exhausted from his 6-hour trip (but he was an excellent traveler).

Thanks to everyone for visiting us while we were away. bbl. Lots to do this morning.

Ella & Rusty

Hey Kitties, Thanks for coming to the city to visit me and to go adventuring. It was great!

Re: 9/26 Rusty AMPS 301/331(!)

Yikes! Rusty, what are you doing on the stinky pinky floor? Now you are home, time to settle back down on the blue and green floors.

Ok, Rusty... Time to come down a bit for your bean, please. Low pinks aren't bad, but we'd all like to see those beautiful blues and greens again. Whadya say? Have a great day, guys!

Re: 9/26 Rusty AMPS 301/331(!)

  Rusty??? I hope being back home and the new pen work their magic for Rusty, these are definitely not his numbers!

I think I missed most of your trip, there has been a lot going on lately sorry.

Re: 9/26 Rusty AMPS 301/331(!)

Hi Ella, I hope Rusty comes down and this is just a blip. As soon as he gets all settled in his little bed by the radiator, I bet he gets back to his Rusty numbers. Have a nice day.

Re: 9/26 Rusty AMPS 301/331(!)

I bet Rusty settles back into the home routine and relaxes.
Hard to be a suitcase cat.

Slide back down Rusty!! Mamabean is getting more juice soon!

Re: 9/26 Rusty AMPS 301/331(!)

Oh dear Rusty. What is up with those stinky pinks? Those don't look good on you and I'm sure no one will recognize pink Rusty.

I hope the latest juice increase does the trick. Maybe he's stressed out from his trip to the big city? I'm sure in a few days he will be back at the lagoon in normal numbers.

Have a great day Ella and Rusty.

Re: 9/26 Rusty AMPS 301/331(!), +5.5 225, +9 92/111

Hi again,

The first +9 reading (111 on the Arkray Mini) didn't have enough blood on it, although it did beep. Retested with a new drop of blood and a new strip and got 92. Then I decided to test the meter with the "Normal range" control solution and it had a "passing" number. In any event, Rusty got a little lc snack to hold him over until dinner time.

I think I'll check the Relion Micro and see what I get. Just did this and it was also in the Normal range, as was the Glucocard 01 meter that I have. Then I checked all three of the meters on myself: 82 (Arkray Mini), 83 (Relion Micro), 92 (Arkray Glucocard ). So I wasted some strips, but I think all of my meters are close enough to be a reliable indication. (And I guess I don't have diabetes!).
