now what do I think? I fed him 5% at the 48 and now he is 288. Was the 48 real? Is the 288 just a food spike? Maybe I fed him too much but I am needing to leave the house for a bit so I was trying to play it safe. Ugh! I’m so confused with him!

Going from 48 to 288 in half an hour seems a bit extreme, as does dropping form 283 to 48 in 1.25 hours. No treats, he only got LC then? That's way too much for a food spike and a huge drop after what was near nadir. It such a case, I always retested. Might have gotten too little blood on the strip?

No treats at all. I was busy in the house and he was in the basement (fights with other cats) and I checked him when I realized what time it was. I did however feed a whole ff can to him. My bad and I don’t know what I was thinking.
Should I just give him his regular dose then? He is at 359
