Hi everyone,

As I already mentioned in a previous topic, Farine's honeymoon ended 4 days ago, and we're still not sure if she will soon go into another remission or not...

Right now Alain and I find it difficult to adapt the dosage to her BG levels since they are not very stable. It's like one day we think she's back into remission and next day we think "oh maybe it was just the depot, geez her BG levels are increasing"... Pretty confusing to manage on a daily basis.

Could you guys look at Farine's spreadsheet and tell us what you guys would do it terms of dosing...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... oSHc#gid=0

For the last couple of days we sort of wrote a scale (that changes after each cycle gives us more information), but now I'm starting to wonder if we should do something completely different like giving .15u or .30u NO MATTER what result we get.. Though I still wouldn't feel comfortable shooting if PS is under 90...

Last dosing scale I gave him for the next AM cycle is this one :
0.0 - 99 : 0
100 - 110 : 0.15U
111 - 133 : 0.30U (which covers a "wider range of values" to make sure we dont have to change the dosing too often)
134 - 137 : 0.30U Fat
138 - 144 : 0.45U
145 - 151 : 0.50U
152 - 162 : 0.50U Fat
163 and more : 0.70U

Like I said, maybe this dosing scale is not necessary and we should only shoot .15U or .30U regardless of the PS value ... what do you think?

Lantus dose is not based on the pre-shot numbers. If you dose based on pre-shot, the depot will never stabilize the the numbers will be weird. Likewise, shooting and then skipping for several cycles doesn't allow the depot to "fill." At this point, I'd think in terms of shooting 0.1u or 0.2u twice a day. Let's see how consistent dosing works. It may be that Farine will need an "as needed" dose but I'd prefer to see how a more traditional approach works, first.

Is there any chance that there's a health concern -- a urinary tract infection that's brewing or that Farine needs a dental? Those would also be reasons for the numbers not settling.
