Good Morning LL! Tess has been pretty flat since last night. I'm hoping that doesn't mean she is planning a big drop. I'm going to leave lots of MC food out for her today, hoping that she eats and and that it doesn't screw her up ad much as the shave does.

WCR Only 4 Ps again today, I hope the LB gets filled before we leave. 2 days is unusual for Tess. We got a couple of good cuddles in before and after the shot. She has moved on tho GH's lap to share the wealth.

+1 is 201, right on course. Feeding her 5% to try to keep her up today. I'll get a +2 and then we have to leave for the day.

Good job - I think your plan is a good one. She will be fine. I know this works for Mannie, and usually what I will do when I have to go for the day, I just prefer it to a dose change. I know after trial and error that he will be OK with MC food left out. Mannie says he will keep good tabs on her.

Oh thanks you Mannie, I get lonely all day. I just saw Mr. Orinch patrolling on MY territory, but I can't get out to chase him off! cat(2)_steam

Fed 8%, just in case and leaving out 3 bowls of 5% ..... uh she finished the 8% and headed right to one of the other bowls. ohmygod_smile

ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile CATS! now Mannie would do that too - no doubt. It gets tricky with the food when i am gone - at least DH usually is home, for the first hour or so, and can make sure he isn't the hoover and eats it all at once.

Tess - that's supposed to be for later....

Piglet! She has eaten TWO of the meals I put out for later! I added another small one. She has now walked by them and settled in on the couch. Hopefully, to remember and eat LATER! ohmygod_smile

Home and tested at +10:40 and she was 335, but she ate over 3.4 oz. of 5% and 8% food. Normally it is a struggle to get her to eat 2 3/4oz of 1% to 3% food. So she ate close to an ounce extra and I don't know when she last ate. Tess is laying on the couch looking very content and having a bath so it might not have been that long ago. It is also very warm today, I think the warmest it has been all summer. I think it's time for the beans to take a nap too.

At least a food spike should be faster to clear than the shave we took last week.

Down a little already and she is even eating dinner! I was sure she would be full up. Well. we know she will eat when we are gone! :lol:

Aww, Miss Tess is a little piggy today. :smile: Glad to know she eats when you're gone. Checkers doesn't usually, and it can be a problem.

Piglet - that's what I call Emma most of the time. She hears it and even responds to it most of the time. And by respond I mean she will open one eye and turn her head in my general direction, not that she would actually come when I call her!

Glad Tess was good about her eating today while you were away, even if she DID eat too much. Better to be stuffed than hungry with insulin on board!

Looks like Tess had a field day with the food while you were gone - she at everything? way to go Tess! She will clear the pink quickly enough - no worries. Mannie bounced up to a 346 - ugly!

Stu usually saves his food that is put out and then gloms it down as soon as we get home. They sure know how to get the higher carbs that they like--just leave the other stuff for the bean to see when she gets home!

Thanks for inviting us over today to surf the dunes and hunt lizards, Tess. I had a great time.

it sort of looks like she might need more juice, which is an odd thing to say just a few days after she was in the 40's. She usually doesn't take this long to get back to green. Please come back down, Tess?

Libby, Tess was clearing her bounce on Wed. when I think we had a flubbed shot, big air bubble. Today I loaded her up on higher carb food because we were gone for over 8 hours. She surprised us by eating it ALL. Let's see what happens tonight and tomorrow when those carbs clear.

Moonie , yes I love turkey and my mom's been gone on turkey day for the last couple of years. That is such a big bird! How about surfing tomorrow? It's been a few days for me and I don't want to get out of practice. See, ya. -- Tess

Piglet! :lol: Cute. I'm glad she ate (and ate well!) but I hear your frustration on not knowing how food left out is affecting their numbers (when did they last eat, how much, etc). But at least we have the feeders as an option, huh? Makes me feel better knowing there will be food available.

Hmm, a surfing party, huh? Sounds like fun to me! If it's tomorrow, count me in! I'll bring some catnip scones and catmint tea and we can be ladies who lunch. The boys can be dudes who devour. Maybe Raja will come with us, too! And Moonie! And everyone!! See you then!

What a cute mental picture - Tess having herself a picnic with all the groceries while the beans are gone. Love it! 318 - she ate well!
