Good morning, everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping on the futon between his beans. I thought we would see a lower number at AMPS, but at least he's not pink. He'll probably break this trip bounce the day we drive home, when he can start another trip bounce! He is having a good time despite his numbers. His appetite is good, his breathing is good.

Today the beans are having lunch with an old friend. Then I want to check out the REI store. This morning we'll walk around the island (Roosevelt Island) and check on the community of feral cats that are cared for by a very active group. The oldest member of the colony (Tomas) died last month at the age of 16. He was apparently deferred to by all the other cats. There was an article about him in the local newspaper. Fly free, Tomas!

Continuing to send healing vines to all kitties in need,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Kitties, today will be a grand day. Maui is sailing us around Manhattan Island on her yacht! She has the CATapult all set up for those daring kitties (life vests will be provided). I'll be busy in the yacht kitchen. See you all soon. Maui, please pick me up at Roosevelt Island Landing.

Hoping that Mr. Rusty shows you a lovely surf today. Have fun with the ferals! Sending tons of prayers to the active group that lost Tomas. May God help to heal their broken hearts.

Hey Rusty,

I'm on my way! You see the yacht rounding the corner yet? Hear the horn. I'm here! Let's go have fun and say hi to the kitteh colony. Hmmmm I wonder if any of them want to try the CATapult!

Hi Ella. It looks like Rusty is going to clear his trip bounce for you. Enjoy lunch with your friend and have fun in the city.

Sorry about Tomas. He was a lucky feral kitty to have that wonderful group watching out for him and his friends.

Have a great day Ella.

Nicely done LagoonMeister! Tess seems to be on her way to join you. They do love to keep us guessing. Sounds like you and the kittehs have a great day planned.

Rusty! Your roof is nearly as good as the barn for partying and the beans never caught on! It was so nice to see that all of Mannie's friends in NYC are keeping his plaques polished. Kewl on the yacht, but I will miss playing Titanic w/ Mannie! I'll help in the kitchen too. -- Tess

Rusty seems to be relaxing into his second home again, great +5.5!

Enjoy your day. The walk around the feral colony sounds cool. Fly free little Tomas! That's a long good life for a feral.

I think Neko hit the CATapult early today.

How nice to see that blue for Rusty. I hope you have a good day and enjoy visiting the feral colony. So sad on Tomas. Fly free little one.

Hi again,
We wern't in the ferals' feeding spot at chow time, so didn't see any of the kitties. Apparently they all waited for Tomas to get his bowl filled first. Tomas was apparently fostered several times, but preferred the outdoor life. He was found years ago in Queens in a snowstorm, trying to eat a frozen, dead mouse. His rescuer took him to Roosevelt Island and he became a member of the colony here.

We had a nice lunch with our friend at a coffee shop near NYU, getting caught up. I bought a new tire pump at REI. On the way to the subway I passed the headquarters of the Blue Mannie Group and smiled.

Tomorrow I'll be out all day on a bike ride with my old group. We're going to Alpine Lookout, NJ via River Road, on the Pallisades. It will be hilly. I hope I'm up to it! 45 hilly miles. Edward and Rusty will have a nice day together.

Hope it was a good day in LL,

Ella & Rusty

Hey Maui, that was a terrific sail around Manhattan! When the tide came in I thought we were going to go under, but your yacht is really seaworthy. Thanks for a great day! Even I got to go on the CATapult. Oh boy!! FUN!! I flew by the Statue of Liberty and waved to her. Tomorrow we visit our ancestors in the Egyptian galleries at the Met. Lunch on the steps at the hotdog cart. See you all there.
Rusty
