Yesterday was BLUEtiful. Neko, why couldn't you just keep doing that?
9/24 Recap:
AMPS 118 +3 215 +8 160
PMPS 150 +3 176 +9 146
Neko had a fabulous night, very flat and very blue. She was playing with her nanners and catnip ball after dinner and seemed in a really good mood. For this morning +9/pre row check she was also following me around, (im)patiently waiting for treats. I have no idea what happened for today's +3, but I have a couple of theories. (1) it had been 10 cycles since she last did pink and she knows how much I miss it. ohmygod_smile I've noted before that too much of a good thing (blues) can get her liver nervous. (2) The night before last she dipped low and I missed it. She often saves the bounces for the 3rd cycle after the low. I know it isn't a fur shot, because it's not even onset yet and she doesn't go up that fast from a fur shot. Or she could just be a cat, which is part of theory number 1.
After all those nice numbers lately, Neko isn't feeling comfortable in her pink dress anymore. This morning she was running for the kitchen every time we opened the fridge door, even though she'd eaten all of her meals. Paws crossed she's coming down now with onset. Suns out, so at least snoozing in the heat in the solarium is some compensation.
Fall is definitely hitting here. This morning's row was brrrr. Time to haul out the fleece and pogies for the morning. I think Neko might have a "fur shot" on Sunday morning. I'm in a race and I have to be there at PS time. Normally I would just move her PS up a bit, but I have a meeting on Thursday that often goes late resulting in PMPS going later and I wouldn't have time to move the shot up enough. We'll see, I might just crack the whip on Thursday. One advantage of Levemir is the later onset. I can give Neko insulin, and head out for several hours, knowing that onset is quite a bit later. The race doesn't take long - it's only 5.3 km. It's also close to home which is why I can enter it. Although I'll be shuttling back and forth for a test, as I have to give out the prizes later.
I'm thinking of Marje and Mike today and sending vines of comfort.
