Lola and Bug SWEAR that it won't be wacky pizzas, just wacky Wednesday. Whatever that means.... They were talking about holding another whack-a-thon marathon, just like last week. Winners will get a wacky Paw Prints Pizza! oh oh..... I liked it better last week when they were running around saying wacky wacky wacky. They is so weird. They is dressed really weird too, for their whack-a-thon. Maybe that is all they will do today: say wacky and dress really funny.... Silly kitties. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot Breve's made from Sun-Dried Sumatra Rasuna beans. For my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Cimmamum and Frango Mint infused white mocha/mocha blend with Frango chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cimmamum whip garnished with cimmamum sprinkles, white chocolate curls and frango mocha drizzle. ....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of mint and vanilla and cimmamum swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with mint chips and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts always on the menu

I hope everyone had a great Tuesday yesterday. We did well here, our "first" day of having the boys all week, u.ntil the end of October Nicholas went swimming yesterday and my DMIL watched William. I am so grateful to her, and her willingness to help out. THANK YOU Super Grammie Connie! Here's what I wrote in last night's post: "HI everyone! I hoe your day has been a good one. I don't think we broke 60 today, it's been a little on the coolish side. Alot of clouds today, some sun, but sure not much. It looks dismal out there tonight, very gray and dreary. blech. Where is our sun? Despite that Nicholas William and I had fun. we did all sorts of things, from pools to trails to building blocks, and baby rattles and bouncy seats. It's been a decent day here today. The routine with the boys is coming together, better each time we got through it. It gets a little rushed on days we have the pool, but we get through it. Little guy's chosen breakfast just cracks me up. Waffles, has to be waffles. 3/4 of them, with bacon. Gotta have the bacon, 3 slices it it, all topped with berries, lots of berries. Where in the world does he put it all? Breffis here in the mornings gets to be quite the production.... :-D   The pool went well today too. The energizer fish had a ton if fun, did all there was to do in the beach play area. It's nice to have him back into the groove. We also spent alot of time on the big pool. This was funny. They open that one up to the kids at 10:15. So that time rolls around and I asked him if he new what time it was. His eyes got really big, he stood erect, and then shouted as loud as he could " BIG POOL TIME!" and off he went on a mad dash. Off to the big pool. He really does love being there. They had some of the float mats out today, so he spent alot of time on that. He has this thing about rolling off the side of it,goes under water, and then trying to come up under the mat, crazy. He likes to have his head just a little above water with that mat on top of his head. He thinks it's fun. lol. and nuts. anyways - a very nice fun and productive day on the pool. We did a little bit of the trail after that until he ran out of steam. A good day. Back at it tomorrow .... :-D :-D :-D Picassa photo and video links: Swimming, and On the trail... The trail was fun today. When we came back to the car we discovered that my car was being bombarded by acorns, falling from an oak tree... seems there was a squirrel up there that wanted some fine dining. he'd pick them and drop as many as he picked and ate. thunk thunk think was the sounds on my car roof.    Nichoals ad a snack when we came back to the car. He was laughing so hard while inside every time he heard one of those thunks!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   Elsa is settling in for fall. We have gotten markedly colder during eh day. She has started bunkering down as she does every fall and winter. The outside visits and adventures for her are much shorter, bur she still does go. Then back inside to her fav spot: my bed pillow. ;-) Naps here are increasing too: fall mode for all three kitties. Even Lola has mellowed some. is that possible? Lola mellow? NOPE! Let's see.... today we scattered all the magazines, tipped up three paper bags, raided Nicholas's leftovers from lunch, attacked my DD's lunch while she was here, raided two plants, climb the plants, visited me in the shower with lots of door pounding.... and that was just the beginning. Bug has taken over all of Mannie's beds (he had three) and Bug will move from one to the other throughout the day. Kinda like Mannie used to do. That part is kinda cool. Now if Lola would just settle.... oh sure....

Have a great day everyone. It is a Nicholas and William day today, and Nicholas and I are off to the pool. My DMIL will watch William while Nicholas and I are at the pool. His mom will be coming after swim time, to spend some time, and then take the boys home. She is still working half days until 10/1. SWEET! I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Hey Lil Bit Pit,

If those two want a whack-a-thon! I'm in! I'm the bestest whacker there is! Just ask Buster, I get her every time! I won't wear any silly hats though. Nope, I'm way too dignified for that.

So, who's first for me to whack!

Signed Maui the Magnificent, excellent whacker

Hi Michelle. Sounds like the energized fishes back in full form  You must be drinking a case of energy drinks a day to keep up with two little ones    .

Glad all is normal in MusketeerVille. Have a great day Michelle.

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Nicholas, William and I had a great day, fun times. Our Schuyler was a little messed up today due to a needed late swim time for Niocholas, but we survived it well. The boys played trucks in the morning, with Nicholas showing William how it is done.  It was so cool to watch Nicholas be a methodical with William as he was, and patient. Incredible! We made the pool ok, Nicholas survived the time adjustment, YAY! we totally survived today.  what a crazy one... It was a late swim time (11AM) for the little guy, I semi-worried about how up for it he would be, too tired or what. He did very well. He knew he was going later in the day, knew things would be different, and he dealt. What a relief that was. sheshhh... only one minor issue: water temp,as it was cooler than he expected. We worked around that. I showed him how to get used to it, and good to go. We had the big pool for the most part, then the lazy river after session break. Big Pool was alot of fun for him today, alot of swimming under water. We had a few times when he was doing this goofy vertical turn in circles thing he does, got tired, and I'll be damned if he didn't get his legs up and float on his back, on his own. That was freaking cool, we have a back floater, no assistance required. It's always been assisted before. Amazing/interesting too that he waited through the session break so he could be in the lazy river. I thought for sure that the cool room temp and the shivers, and the wait, and the fatigue would get him on that, but nope! He so had to swim the river. And have the big bucket dump on him. oh wow on it all... it was a good day in the pool. We spent some time before the pool at the Edmonds RR station, just to kill some time. Luck be with him, a freight train went through. I thought he'd come unglued: TRAINS! He was so stoked to show little bro the trains... What an amazing day.... and I am so tired....   I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's condo.

Maui! GF!! YUPP, tht is an affirmative on the whack-a-thon, Bug was adamant, he says it is wacky Wednesday and we need a whack-a-thon! So you gots to come. You wanna whack Lola? heeheehee... see ya soons! I agree on the hats... nope, no hats... ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT PIT, another excellent whacker!

Hi John - LOL, and yes he is! I tell ya.... by the end of the day, fatigue really rules to roost. I have one of otiose energy things about 1 or so, gets me through the afternoon: they do work! Then its crash time after dinner.    THX on the rest. The day was great. I hope all is well with PurrFace, and you.

I'm glad you and Nicholas and William had a good day yesterday. I hope today was good too. I like the way Lola has mellowed some.

What a full day! Swimming sounded great. It is so great that Nicholas made a breakthrough and can float, swim the river, and get soaked by the buckets! Neat!

Good luck with your big month. You'll be ready for a vacation! Thank goodness for your DMIL's help.

Winter mode for the kitties, even Lola?? How fine that Bug is sleeping in all of Mannie's beds. I walked by the headquarters of the Blue Man[nie] Group today and said hi to Mannie. I know he keeps his eye on the spot.

Have a good evening, Michelle, and rest up for tomorrow!!!

Hugs, and scritches for the kitties. Rusty says thar Elsa was a great help in the kitchen of Maui's yacht. They didn't let Lola near it!

It is really cool when things just click for the kid and they do it all on their own.

There is this family that came to the pool at my complex - the 3 yr old boy was braver this summer than last, he used a vest and noodle under his arms and he could swim on his own. He doesn't like getting his face wet. He was doing good with the vest and noodle and then the last week the pool was open, he was by the steps and I was there watching and he stepped off and swam without the noodle and hopped back onto the step - it just happened. I said hey Julian what did you just do? His mom wasn't in the pool, so she didn't see. I asked him to do it again and he did. I told mom and we all got excited.

That was the beginning of him swimming on his own - face out and with vest on, but it clicked and he wouldn't stop swimming. She's going to get him lessons over the winter, so I'm hoping when I see him next summer, he will swim, no vest and face in water!

floating on his back is just like that - it connected and he did! way cool to see for the first time and share in it. Yay Nicholas!

Hi Carla :-D THX. me too! It was a fun one, as was today. What a joy he is. Me too on Lola. That is ncie!

Hi Ella - oh yes, it was indeed a full day. no rest for the weary!  Pool was fun, loved the float on his own. That was so cool! It is new too for hi to allow all that water to fall on him without flinching etc. :-D THX on my lomgggggg month. It will be good, and doable. The pool was my concern, and I am grateful for this help, the pool worries have lessened alot. It is interesting with Lola - she is still one crazy cat, but does see to be mellowing out some. maybe the season change has gotten to her too. HOW COOL on checking out the Blue Man(nie) Group HQ. I love the thought of that. The BMG was so Mannie that I have no doubt he is keeping his eye on the place. :-D :-D :-D :-D on yes on tonight, and the rest for tomorrow. I did just that, on the sofa, with a story to read. it was nice.
oh LOL     on not letting Lola near the kitchen on Maui's yacht. Wise move kitties!

Hi Hillary - what a great story. I love that! and Kudos to Julian! so so cool that he wouldn't stop swimming! It is so wonderful when things just click for these kids, whether it be in the pool, or elsewhere. I got lucky with Nicholas, he loves the water so that it all is such fun for him. I cannot wait to see what he will do once he can have lessons. Should be great! THX for your thoughts - what a nice way for me to wrap up today. :-D :-D

Wow, Michelle, I get tired just reading your condos!

I love seeing the Nicholas pool videos - He swims better than I do already! Quite the natural, and you are doing such a good job inspiring him :-D

Have a great day - can't wait for more pictures!

Jane
