Yesterday's numbers were ugly and stayed pretty ugly - top end of the blues at best. This morning was at least yellow, even if still high-ish. DH is home today from work (lucky man) and is being a great guy and getting a few during the day numbers that we don't usually get to see.

Also, on a weird note, my kitty, who usually eats so fast that we have to sit and feed her spoon by spoon so she doesn't choke herself - turned down breakfast initially this morning. It was the beef classic Fancy Feast, which she eats all the time (we rotate Turkey and Giblets, Chicken and Beef from the variety pack box). She sniffed at it and turned away, which is totally unlike her. My DH was smart and washed out the dish, and put the food down the drain and tried a second can, which she devoured in her usual fashion. I really kind of think she smelled something was not right with the first can of food. Anyone know anything about there being something wrong with the Fancy Feast beef classic feasts?? I'm wondering if I should throw them all out from this batch or what...

I haven't heard anything specific, but now that you mention it, I've had Trix do the same thing with the FF Chicken from time-to-time, too. I bet there's variation from batch to batch - enough for our sensitive kitties' noses to detect.

Sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry...if you've got a bad feeling about the cans, you might as well toss them. Peace of mind can be worth its weight in gold.

Do you still have the can, and does it have a batch number on it somewhere? It might be worth a call to Purina to find out if they have gotten any complaints? From my interactions with them, their customer service department has been very nice and cooperative, and the two times I've spoken to them, they've sent me coupons for free food.

Unfortunately no, my DH tossed the can when Cleo didn't eat...

Hi Kathy - I've run into the same thing with Mannie from time to time with the FF Classics. I did as you did, tossed the rest of the can. It too has been a flavor that he just loves(d). I could never decide if it was the food, or the cat just finally being tired of a flavor. Wish I knew... one really wonders though when it has been one they have been eating for a very long time...

Nice numbers today for Cleo - love the +4! :-D
