Bell is bouncing here, unfortunately. I think she dropped too quickly to the 50's last night. It is interesting how I am learning just by her actions what her BG is. She never ever "meows" unless it is an angry one at the vet, but now she lets out a raspy squeak when I bring food when she is in the "too low zone" or the "dropping too fast zone". I'm going to start marking those instances and see if they correspond to a bounce. She also always leaves a bit of food on the plate, like the royalty she is, but in these instances she licks it completely clean.
Bhooma and Alicia gave me some great advice on how to use food to slow the drop and try to keep her more in the 60s/70s rather than immediately dropping to the low 50s and sticking there. That would be a lot less stressful on me.
It has been a really busy work week and I'm trying to juggle all these work things with keeping her safe. It's a lot, but that's ok, she's doing great. I'm sooooo behind on sleep since I've been needing to keep her in the safe zone at the PM +6, which is 1 AM my time. Still a good problem to have, since she is seeing more greens than other colors (I feel bad even complaining about that to be honest). I think I'm just going to grab a +4 tonight to make sure she didn't plummet low and catch up on some rest. I hope everyone has a great day/night. May all your kitties surf safely!
