Thanks all. Is Max taking a day off or just a food spike? Should know in a couple hours. When he's done I deal with the flat tire.
 
He gets a food spike fairly often, but in the world of FD, who knows? .....these silly cats might develop somewhat usual "patterns", but just when we think we have them figured out, they change it up ;)

Hope they were able to fix the tire instead of having to replace it....that sure is a racket...tires should last longer than they do for the amount we have to pay for them!

Chris, I have a warranty. It's just a year old. Hoping I can make it tge 5.5 miles to Costco on the spare. I'm waiting for AAA now.
 
I needed a new tire because I drove on the flat. I didn't notice. :oops: It was only a year old and few miles but they clearly don't prorate in the customer's favor. Still $64 was better than over 200.
 
Yeah, that's what I meant by they have quite a racket going...a new tire should last you longer than 3 years (depending I guess on how many miles you drive) but even with a warranty (which you pay extra for in the first place) they're always prorated

Well, happy you're on 4 good tires now...especially with winter coming!!

Glad you got the tyre sorted. The prorata system you have is interesting. I'm not aware of anything like that here. Under warranty here it's either it's covered or its not. In your case, having driven on it, I would expect not so I feel like you did ok :) Max, as ever is doing better than ok :D and for you :coffee:

Glad you got the tire fixed, Elise, and didn't have to pay full price. They always get you coming and going, but I think Costco is generally better than most places.
 
The tire guy said driving just a block can ruin these high profile tires. The guy that changed my tire asked what I
had to pay and was the one that said there has to be their costs built in as so little tread was used but I agree that Costco is better than most if not all other places. My repair guy at the dealer was the one who told me to get my tires there.

Max moved up to 59 when I went to bed an hour later. Couldn't sleep too well and we both were awake an hour before amps.
