Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) (more please!), and Happy Catruday!

WELCOME HOME PUNKIN!

Elsa Update: I talked to the vet yesterday. The mass in her rectum is NOT cancer (YAY!!), and appears just to be a rather severely impacted anal gland, which could not be manually expressed, cause is unknown. We now need to decide if this warrants the removal of her anal glands, to prevent this from occurring again. I am waiting on price estimates from the vet, at which point I will have to make a decision. My vet has performed this surgery successfully on many animals, feels confident that she can do this without damage to her rectal function. so.... I will get a copy of the pathology report today, for her records here at home. Good news!, and well... news to ponder....

Mannie is back to his glory days of blue surfin'! :-D He had a really nice mostly low level blue surf yesterday. It was nice to see after the pink, predictably pink, day before. He has a great start today as well, and we are hoping for great things - like maybe a dip into the green lagoon. Well done Mannie. Your bean is very proud of you! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand! :-D well... sort of... NO KITTY CHOIR! :o :o :shock: and the bean overslept! :o :shock: so.... I eventually get upstairs, and there they are. All lined up in a row: paws are stomping :-x , tails are swishing :evil: , eyes are slits :shock: , and you can just read the thoughts :roll: : "WHERE have you been?!?!" To which I replied: " it's not my fault... where were you guys?????". They were too busy reading me the riot act that they forgot about whacking each other. :lol: :lol: We had a great test feed shoot, Many purrs from Mannie. Breffis was consumed with gusto, clean plate club status maintained. Auto feeder is once again being ignored... no surprise there. :roll: Napping is now in progress - gotta get that in while they can. Rumor is that DGS is coming with mom and dad this morning.... Semi-normalcy in MannieLand. :cool: :cool: :razz:

Have a great day everyone! My DD, DSIL and DGS will be over this morning. DSIL has graciously offered to finish up chopping wood from a tree we felled late this spring. it will be nice to have all the wood dealt with ... and I have to get to the store. We need kitty fuds!!!! :roll: :cool:

Kitties!!!! Surprise arty for PUNKIN today - He's home and we need to celebrate!! maybe a major outdoor BBQ - and grilin' and stuff. I gots the bus already - boy we sure made a mess in it last night at the equinox party.... heeheehee.... See you guys soon! ~~ Mannie

That is good news that Elsa doesn't have cancer, but I can understand your reluctance to have the operation you described. Is Elsa in pain? Can she poop? Anyway, sending good decision-making vines to you for Elsa.

Hi Michelle, that is great news with Elsa and no cancer, but is a severely impacted anal gland! That's too bad it cannot be manually expressed, but it sounds you have a good Vet who can give you options. So happy for you and how relieved you must be feeling today! We;ll be waiting to see what your Vet says and what you decide. Sending good vines to Elsa and you. Mannie sure is off to a good start today, too. Sounds like a fun today with the family company and helping with the tree and DGS, too! I love fuds shopping if I know of one Mags will eat. :lol: Have a wonderful Saturday.

Hey Mannie, that mystery adventure was awesome and especially the partying and cookout and fun on the bus. I even had a chance to use my hikin boots!. Party today with Punkin's welcome home sounds great. I'll be waitin for you to picks me up, Maggie

Hurray for no cancer! Potential surgery sucks though... I can just see all the kitties lined up and and giving you stink eyes for getting up late :evil: Hope you have a good conversation with the vettie about the surgery and have a great weekend!

Hi Ella - yes, it is good news! yeah, I know on the operation. I don't think she really is in pain, but it is hard to tell with her. She was sitting funny, off to one side... I had no clue what was what, and I had checked her! and yes on the LB - no issue there! thx on the wood - what a pain!!

Hi Ann and Maggie - yes - I am so glad about Elsa. I think so too on the vet. We may have to do the surgery, as that glad would not express.... Yep on Mannie - looks like good day shaping up. :-D hey - thx on the tree, and the fuds!

Such great news on Elsa! I can understand your concern on the surgery. Whatever you decide, I am confident that it will be the right one for you and Elsa.

Mannie is looking great! Now think greennnn! Um...no kitty choir? They're fired! What are you suppose to do, set a real alarm? I can totally see them all sitting there glaring at you like it was your fault or something.

What a sweet DSIL you have! And you get to see DD and DGS too! That is a definite bonus.

What a relief that Elsa doesnt have cancer! Must be a great relief for you & all of you!
Now I have heard of some cats & dogs having their anal glands removed with much success.
Sending good health vines to dear Elsa & know you'll what to do, I have faith in you one terrific momma Bean!
Prayers for dear Elsa to be totally well.

Mannie Boy seems to be doing very Blue things which is always better than pinks! Hope he returns to the Green Lagoon real soon! Moonie gives me the "I'm starving Meows" in the morning & doesnt stop!!!

too fun to stop by to see how things are in Mannieland and to find that there's a welcome home party in the plans for punkin! i didn't tell hiim or anya, but i'd just suggest you throw some sugar in there. poor guy's all "they took my sugar and i'm singing the No Energy Blues, mom!" :lol:

good news on Elsa's bottom, i think! :lol: hard to know what to say to a poor friend who's got impacted anal glands! ;-) :shock: :lol: but it's good it's not cancer, that's for certain! poor little girl who has to sit off onto one cheek! that's no fun at all. is there a possibility of having them cleaned out and waiting to see if the impaction happens again before deciding on surgery?

it always makes me smile to hear that breakfast was consumed with gusto! viva la good appetite! :-D

Hi Melissa - many thanks! It is a concern - elsa, but I think we are going to have to do something for her... as this can and more than likely will re-occur. ugh. not looking forward to this. :? And Mannie did!: thought green and here we are. GREEN! -- and yes on the kitty choir - omg! heaven forbid that I have to start relying on an actual alarm.... I so suck at that, and never hear them! -- and yes on today! wood chopped, and a DGS visit to boot. A win-win!

Hi Roni - yes, it is a relief - very much so! I have too heard that the surgery is not as feared as much today as it once was. The vet says she has done it alot, always with success. so.... we wait for the almighty price tag... Mannie must be reading his posts again - green lagoon it is! oops on the pics!! I never did post the ones from Friday... bad me!!! last ones were on Thursday I think...

Hi Julie - see what happens in LL when one is away? all sorts of things!! the party caravan is on its way... they come with all sorts of welcome home goodies... maybe a sugar cube for Punkin,, and some really good cake that they have left over from the Equinox party last night. I am glad that all went well with Punkin. and thanks on Elsa - and yes, she has to sit on one cheek - I never knew why... now I do. the poor thing!!! we could wait and see if it happens again. the vet removed as much as she could, but it was difficult to get it all, she will put together some options for me and then I will decide what to do. -- and LOL on the gusto breffis's - he inhales it !

The vet is for the surgery, as she strongly feels that this will reoccur, if only because the canal where the "fluid" travels did not let her manually express what was in and or near the gland. so.... i dunno. we shall see what options she comes up with. thanks too on Mannie. I hope all is OK with Teddi - we are all so worried... as I know you are. thinking of you all tonight.

Great news for Elsa, even though you still have some decisions to make. (BTW, I was just a little kid when it came out, but "Born Free" was the first movie to ever make me cry, and I still get choked up when I hear the name "Elsa" because of it!)

We had the Blue Mannie Group though for almost two days! :cool: and I dunno... it is uncanny how he does that - I had the night with not much else going on... how in the world does he know that it's OK to go Green and keep me busy. :shock: Uncanny!, and what a good boy!

73 @ +6.7, fed a little 4% LC. I am off for a little NI NI. DH will fed some 4% at +7.5. I plan on testing again just to make sure the rise says there, about +7.5, maybe +8. kitty choir: get me up , please!
