Nothing like a big drop early in the cycle. I fed him his normal 11:00 meal of half a can of 2% Fancy Feast. I'm working from home today and have a quiet schedule so I am fighting the impulse to test him before 1:00 which would be +5. I want to see if he's going up without the impact of the food in his blood. He did this to me a couple of days ago at night and it was hard for me to sleep without giving him MC. I prefer not to bump up his carbs and want to see what happens with LCs. At 2%, he still has room to grow and be in the LC but the other thing our vet wants us to do is be very consistent with the food.

If he's lower in 10 minutes I will bump up the carbs a little but I want to see if he will surf without me over reacting with MCs as I have done in the past. Plus it will be a good data collection for what may be going on at night even though nights are different than days.

Q: If I had tested him after 1 hour at +4 wouldn't I just have been measuring the impact of the food? I know I asked this before and I tried searching for the response but could not find it....

Our spreadsheet is a PDF as you may have seen the thread in the tech support forum (something is apparently tunneling into Android phones and making changes using the linked template files).

Also you'll notice long gaps before increases because our vet really wants us to go slow but I am sick of cotton candy and his gait is getting worse....

A +4 would be food influenced. If you got a +4 and +5 you might see how much an impact if it was two hours after eating.

I'm glad I did that. What a nice blue curve and he was fine with 2% the whole time. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come so we can get the Methyl B12 to work! (Of course now he's back to 361.... maybe not a bounce, maybe he just prefers moguls.)
