Happy Friday Afternoon Lantus Land!!! We're hoping Julie, DH, Punkin, and Anya get home safe and sound today and send healing vines to all those who need them.
Gracie .....well...the lev is .....never mind...I don't want to jinx us.....just check out her SS
She is usually onsetting between +5-+6 and then coming down into her PS. In our condo last night, Jill indicated that we could bring her up .1u to try and get into greens but suggested we wait until after we get through all the other civvie issues and I am taking that suggestion to heart. In the meantime, her numbers have been safe enough to leave her at this dose for a bit longer. Then we can try and pull them down a tad.
Updates on civvies:
Tobey: doing spectacular. He said it was all the cinnamon cake and cupcakes (thanks to Christie and Ella).
Gus: back to the vet this morning; when I woke up, he had all this gunk that had come out of his mouth...clear with a tinge of blood. They managed to get his mouth open more today and his extraction sites look great so it's his chin which was really traumatized and is very swollen and painful. I'm injecting his bupe because it hurts him to even try to put it on his gums. He is eating. They gave him a shot of dexamethazone to try and get the swelling and inflammation down; with his kidneys as they are, they did not want to give NSAIDs.
Teddi: still not eating....I syringed her all day yesterday. No vomiting and she had a lovely poo last night but I could tell she just seems to be in pain. So I started giving her bupe. She's also on pepcid ac and ondansetron. And then it was like   ...I bet she has some mild pancreatitis. SO I took her to the vet (where we were from 9:30 am until 12:45 pm today). They wanted to do a sPLI but I had syringe fed her this morning before the thought hit me but the vet thinks I'm on target. They did a Super chem just to be sure what her kidneys/liver are doing; she upped the dose of bupe. Teddi actually ate a tiny bit on her own when we got home.
So....that's the report from the Gracieland Infirmary. Laura and I are going to go out now and have high tea at a lovely tea shoppe. I feel horrible that I was gone all morning but kitters come first....and Laura slept. She was exhausted...single mom of two boys and she goes 90 miles/min every day.
Please know you all are in our thoughts and I miss you BIG TIME and staying up with your darling sugarbabies. Have a great day....lots of love and hugs.
