Good morning, happy weekend to all! I’m shocked to see how long it’s been since my last post, but the pace of life has been much too fast and time has been flying. Chispa is settled after our move — I think she really likes it here — and I am still sorting things out. If I’d had any idea what a heavy lift moving would be, I would have chickened out for sure. Stay put, everyone! That’s my advice. :p

Chispa had acupuncture on 8/21 and was so clearly uncomfortable and borderline distressed that I decided I wouldn’t put her through it again. She went back for a Solensia shot 8/31, and I’ve seen zero difference. Zero. I’ll give it another try, but my expectations are not high.

I was looking at my last post and the advice about weight loss. I haven’t yet felt like I could take that on, and in recognition of that and her numbers creeping up, I went back up to 2.5 dose. Her numbers have been wonky, but I hope she will settle into a smoother pattern. I hope I will too, because I’ve missed hanging out here with y’all!

I’m glad all is well. It was good you took the dose up based upon the numbers that you gave BUT please try and get a test past +3 at night if you can if the +3 is going down to make sure you catch a night nadir. I don’t think going low is happening but it’s possibly causing the yellows. More than likely more juice is needed.

I hope the shots work and things calm down for you now. :bighug:

Thanks, Elise. Her shot times are such that it’s hard to get that PM +5 without staying up half the night, but then again, it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve spent half the night on the sofa. I really would like to get her into consistently better numbers if I can, so I will make the effort. Thank you for the suggestion :bighug::cat:

Hi Karen! :bighug:
We missed you too!
Glad to see you and Chispa are settling in nicely.
Sounds like it was an intense move and transition for you.
Hope you have enjoyed a cooler summer and are enjoying the beautiful autumn there!
Mikan sends her :kiss::kiss::kiss:

Hi Kit! We are getting settled, slowly slowly, but it’s happening. It rained all through July, then August was gorgeous, and I finally remembered why people like to be here. And of course, getting to spend time with my parents has been so worth it. Sending :bighug::kiss::bighug: to you and sweet Mikan!

Hi Karen! It's nice to read news from you! Moving is such a hard thing to do. last time for me was 10 years ago and I don't want to do that anytime soon.
Hi Cecile! So good to hear from you, and wow, Bella’s spreadsheet looks AWESOME. Enjoy your day, and give that pretty girl a skritch on the chin from me! :bighug::cat::bighug:
