What is Roll Call?
Many of you don’t know Kathy and Kitty (GA). Kathy is the keeper of the master list of the denizens of Lantus Land and all of the links to our spreadsheets and profiles.
So now you’re scratching your head and thinking, “Why do we need to do this?” Well, you don’t – it’s voluntary. However, it’s very helpful to many people here.
In addition, Kathy keeps emergency contact information on LL members. When I first came to LL, a member related an incident where a new member’s cat was in low numbers. They posted and indicated that they were going to sleep not appreciating the nature of the situation. People kept asking for updates but the person had logged out unaware that the cat’s numbers were in dangerous territory. The person got a woken up by a phone call asking her to please test and, thankfully, a hypoglycemic event was avoided. This is rare but it does give us a way to make sure your cat is safe. This is a community and we care about what happens to your cat. If you want to provide your contact information, this is done by PM so the information is kept private.
Kathy will be posting a roll call condo later today. Please consider providing her with the information she needs. She typically includes a link to the master list so you can bookmark the page.

- If you want to look at or study SSs, this is an easy way to do so;
- If your vet wants information, and some do, this is a link you can provide to him/her;
- If you are searching for a particular SS to illustrate a point, this is a convenient way to find the SS;
- Some of us use the list to check up on your cat if you’ve disappeared;
- And there are probably any number of reasons to do this that I’ve not thought about!!
