~O) ~O) not going back to bed today.
We are leaving later this morning to go visit a Renaissance Festival in . . . . Santa Fe. (?)
I expect it to be fairly small.
I used to work a fairly large one back in college in Plantersvlle, TX ( near Houston)
My daughter wanted me to dig out my costume from way back when so she could wear it today but I'm not sure where I would start
looking. :-D I did keep it. Been trying to get my kids involved with SCA (society creative anacronysm) for years and I hope today
gets my son interested.

Hopefully Shadow won't decide that I can't leave. Not likely, Shadowland has been nothing but flat green mounds so far. :mrgreen:

Outdoor cat, Diamond, did not come home last night to get put up in his garage cave. :-x
At least the temperatures were nice enough that he didn't have to be out in the cold.
If he doesn't come home to get put up, we lock him out of the garage otherwise the raccoons will go in and tear everything up and
eat all the food. He inherited all the old foods , but I'm mixing it with evo.
He is safe from coyotes inside our fence but when he runs off... who knows.

Hope everyone comes down out of their pinks today and Healing vines and Prayers for all who need or ask.

Enjoy the Renaissance Festival. Sounds like fun. Very cool on keeping the costume. I hope you will ebable to find it.

Bummer on the outdoor kitty... so it goes with them I guess. Hopefully he will show tonight.

Looks like Shadow will keep it nice and flar so you can enjoy the festival. Sorry to hear about Diamond. I hope he comes back to enjoy his cat cave soon.

Diamond showed up just before we left today and I locked him up and gave him his electric heater.
He loves laying on that. I like not having to hunt him down. :evil:

The fair was bigger than I expected but it was 88 degrees. I was glad not to be in costume in that heat. Promised the kids we'd go to
some more of them. I'll be happy to buy them costumes if they would use them more than once. :roll:

I've had some really choice costumes for them over the years . I take it to the next level and then some. :cool:

Glad everyone had fun at the faire and Diamond came home where he belongs. They can't help but go out on the town every now and then - high adventure, and all. I think they're pirates at heart, just stuck on land - hehe.

way to press the issue.
I just decided to check Shadow. She can go lower than 49. Of course it could be the different meter.

We went to walgreens and I bought new strips and got home and they are the wrong ones. :twisted: :twisted: mumble mumble

I took the box with me and showed the girl that I needed this one but then we chatted and I missed that she gave me wrong strips.

Pharmacy closed hour and half ago here in town and opens at 10am tomorrow. I have 5 strips now.


gave her 7% ... 2 spoonfuls.
waiting a few to check , she usually goes up on her own pretty quick.

Watching her and sitting with her.

I have several different higher carb.
also have 11% carb cat sip. milk made for cats which I know she'd love.

I just don't know how to micromanage my strips.


I would have to drive to santa fe , almost an hour away.....to get more...

So you'll get a +3 so we can make sure she is headed up? Congrats on the dose reduction!! Meter or not, I'd take her down....that is the point after all ;-) ;-)

I'll check back in shortly....have to run to pick up dinner but should be back by the top of the hour.

really wanted to double test that 39 while ago but knew i was too limited on strips.
so we'll just take it and smile.


now how to get thru until tomorrow with 4 strips. nailbite_smile

That's better, Rhiannon but that's the fuds & it's only a +3. Still got a long way to go, 9 hrs before the next shot when you need to test. Leaves you with only 3 strips to last till +12. Can you manage with that? Wish I live near... :lol:

I have to manage it.

right now, the best I can think to do is watch... give her many smaller portions of her normal foods .
she is always on the surf /slow climb up by her +5.

I'll use a strip then. and then hopefully save the rest til morning. 10 am is her +4 tomorrow am cycle.

39 is an automatic dose reduction of 0.25U--Tomorrow buy yourself a spare meter with strips, so that you have a backup--Shadow is doing great & you are doing a great job--Glad your kitty came back & you had a nice time at the fair--Leave out some food tonite..Moonie has dropped a second time on a few occassions..Hugs & Love from us!

Shadow has 5% and 7% food sitting here when she wants it.

She has been fairly aggitated for the last hour or two. That tail hasn't been still. thwack, thwack, thwack...
I held her for a bit and she let me hold her like a baby and had her back feet curled oddly in the air. Kinda had me worrying since it isn't
like her.
She's not a submissive cat so that was very weird for her and when I was smelling her breathe, she chomped my nose.
It just doesn't matter without teeth.... :-D :roll:

We have 3 strips left.
And one is for pre-shot.

so hopefully.... I won't need any more tonite.
