Max and I thank you for the birthday wishes. So far he hasn't let all the compliments go to his head.:cat::D Imeant to get him some shrimp but never got to the market. Since I don't know his actual birthday I think he will forgive me if he gets it a little late.

Bad night for DM last night. Breathing issues. Since the blood cultures were negative and nothing said about the chest X-ray, it's either a UTI or more likely the CHF. Please keep the prayers coming and thank you so much for all the support. You are the best!

Once the shrimp is in front of him, I'm sure all will be forgiven ;)

So sorry things were tough last night. I hope it clears up soon for your DM. Lots of vines and purrs are coming your way!

Nice start today Max...now just surf safely...no funny business!!!

Allergies are awful lately too Elise...just something else to consider with mom's breathing issues. Continued prayers and vines sent for mom and your family!

Thanks Chris. I would love it to be allergies but she had shortness of breath. I'm waiting for her to get up to check on how things are now. She did sleep in the hospital bed for the first time in years last night which elevated her head.

I'm waiting for my cleaning lady to leave my bedroom to test but I think I better test now.

Raising the head of the bed....by putting a couple of blocks under the front legs of the bed, can help relieve breathlessness at night. Also sitting propped up a bit helps too, although hard to sleep.
Sending healing vines to your Mum

My DM has been sleeping on a reclining chair a lot lately but it's been bothering her back. The new weekend CG got her to sleep in her bed over the weekend. Then last night with the shortness of breath my sister and the night CG had to convince her to move from her bed to the hospital bed. We already have a electric one from when she was so sick a few years ago. She's refused to sleep in her room since its been there. We shall see what happens tonight.

OT: my neighbor just asked me if I fixed my flat tire that I didn't know I had. Hopefully AAA will put n the bad spare for tomorrow and I'll go to Costco where I got the tires on Thursday. Always something.

Thanks Bron and Rhiannon for the suggestions. Thanks Amy and Peg for stopping by.

Max didn't get his shrimp yet because Trader Joes only has shrimp from Thailand which I hear is not good for us.

I'm sure Max is sadly disappointed by the lack of birthday shrimp. ;)

Did sleeping in the hospital bed help your DM's breathing? If so, hopefully that will help convince her to sleep there again. Otherwise you could try some of the tips for raising the head of her regular bed.

And the flat tyre was just what you didn't need just now. Sometimes it seems like the universe enjoys throwing extra crap at us *sigh*

The hospital bed helped but she wouldn't admit it to me.

As for the tire, bad timing with the holiday tomorrow. I don't know if my spare will hold air. I'd prefer to get it done Thursday. I'll figure it out tomorrow.

Well, of course it's bad timing. These things never happen when it would be convenient to fix it!

Why is it our parents are always so stubborn? Just like our kitties. Hmmmm. o_O

Sending lots of vines. At least Max had a spectacular day, numbers wise. Always trying to find the silver lining.

Vines and prayers and :bighug::bighug::bighug:.
