9/22 Katmandu's first day - nothing tonight.

Our first ever foster, Katmandu, just got here. He's is currently in his room, settling down. He is a cutie, long haired orinch. 14 years old.

He is unregulated. Getting 2u bid but no regular BG testing so I have no history. A few tests at random times only with results over 400.
He started eating wet but stealing dry from the other cats and dogs. I have LC wet only for him.

He did not get any insulin this morning. I will try to test him before normal shot time although I won't push too hard today.
I will see how that goes and come back here for advice on starting dose but I will not be 2u.

I set up a spreadsheet and will try to get a picture later.

How wonderful of you to do this for Katmandu! :YMHUG: Big hugs for everyone. I hope he settles in quickly. And good luck with the testing.

He just got out from under the bed in his room but he is hissing and growling at me. Can barely touch him.
Hate not being able to start though but I am not going to force him today.
 
Good luck with starting tomorrow, then.
Can you block his access to under the bed with some pillows and boxes and such?

I can't wait to see his picture, and how he progesses.
