Well my nice smooth dropping boy has decided to do a little playing. It does look like we found out he responds very strongly to carbs yet.

His daytime cycles have been very different than his evening cycles and I am not exactly sure why. Daytime starts lower and goes flatter, while nighttime starts a little higher and drops lower. We feed fairly evenly throughout. Up until yesterday he's been in the foster room so his interactions with us and the other cats have been similar (we are pretty late night people). If integrating to the house is going to produce effects like last night, he's going back to his room until he's in remission!

Re: 9/22 Chris Farley 208

Hi Melanie,

For some reason a lot of cats go lower at night. I attribute it to less noise, and therefore less stress for the cat. I could be wrong, but that's what I always attributed it to.

I hope Chris Farley comes down for you today!

Hi Melanie,

Our cats seem to be generally quieter (except for lying in wait for mice, which sometime show up) at night, so I've wondered if the lower activity level makes a difference?

Wishing you, Chris Farley and the crew a restful day,

Georgette and Clare

There is a theory on why cats go lower at night, I will try and see if I can search out that old post. Great slide for Chris today- WTG!
