I knew after last night's 230 @ +6 we were bouncing from his greens, but darnit, in the red again. Hoping he slides safely, I cannot get a reading til +4 today. I could do a +1, but not sure it'll show anything but a food bump.

I reminded him last night, but he decided the mountain tops would be beautiful this morning!

Jeez, really sliding. Fed some LC and extra treats after the poke.

On the bright side, he has learned to use his microchip feeder, so I think he will be able to roam free 24/7 soon if he shows me tonight he will use it as well. :cat:
 
That’s a lot of downward action. Does his BG usually bump up fairly reliably with LC food? I think I’d get a +5.
 
I've been doing a lot of camping in the ADK lately so I've been absent. Looks like today is the first cycle on 2.75 where the old 2.5 depot should be gone....I hope he stays flat and green for a long time today! Good to see so much green in his sheet lately!! You're doing a great job @allicatmeow

Hi Kyle!! That camping sounds lovely and relaxing, I hope you're enjoying it.

72 @ +5 and eager for more treats. Seems to be staying low so far. Gonna wait for a +6 this time, he's getting a bit irritated with treats requiring pokes. I hope this increase will really work for him and we don't have to go up again.

Well we've made the turn upwards. He really feels lousy when he's in greens. He just likes to sleep in his under bed nook and be left alone. Is there any information on when he will feel better with lower numbers? It makes me so sad to see.
 
It could be the greens, but it could also be the large and rapid swings in BG that’s making him feel crummy.

It usually settles down over time. Other than “feeding the curve” to try to blunt the drop, you pretty much just have to ride it out.

That makes sense. I really hope the wild swings stop soon. Of course, I no sooner typed that and hit post, that he came waltzing out from under his bed, trilling and meowing around the house like his usual self. He keeps me on my toes, that's for sure.
 
You're gonna do great! Just wait, soon you'll shoot even lower, and then you get real greedy for them, and you have to remind yourself it's a marathon, but you also just really want those lower numbers so bad. She said. Maybe current experience. Because she just wants Kit to give her the numbers she wants, dangit. :D

Well I did it and I am nervous as heck!!! I was so happy to see a blue, since he was so high this morning and I was hoping he didn't dramatically rise back up. I'm gonna try to hold off my panic for a +2, but no guarantees. :nailbiting::nailbiting:

It's just SO SCARY!!! Trying not to +1 test and just let him do his nightly wander. :nailbiting:

He really is doing wonderful and he's such a good boy for all of it. Just want him to feel better when he swings dramatically!

I can totally relate. Check out this snippet of Hendrick's SS (all I have left as his sheet got deleted by accident off of Google. Back up your SS somewhere NOT in the cloud, trust me)

But anyway, check this out, this is when Hendrick turned the corner and earned his first reduction (that lime green 45 down in the bottom right). You can see he was bouncing into the reds and then greens started popping in and then more green and eventually...all green

Wow, look at all those greens! That is inspiring to see his bounces and then so many greens time and time again. I hope Smudge's greens today are the first step in taking Hendrick's lead.
