9/21 mocha 6 months OTJ!

Hi guys! It's us again with another update on mocha ..

Today is her 6 months OTJ anniversary .. It seems crazy it's been 6 months already .. she is still doing great .. A few days ago we tested her and she was at 80, which is kinda high for her .. I'm pretty sure it was the food switch over to 9 lives chicken that caused her to bump up .. Thankfully wal mart started stocking their special kitty again and today she tested at a lovely 58!

Recently we updated our kitchen counter tops which caused the bar in our kitchen to be shallower then normal .. because of this mocha has discovered that she can now jump onto our barstools and then up onto the bar itself .. When we catch her up there, she thinks she's hot to trot and jumps up onto the fireplace .. at that point, she has no place to go and begs for us to put her on the ground .. When we grab her from there she purrs as if we are her heroes saving her ... it's so cute it's hard to get mad at her for doing wrong!

I love the fact that you make the time to visit and brighten the days here, Devon...you are truly a wonderful lady.

:lol: That's just too precious of a story, I tell you!!! I know exactly what you mean about staying mad at a kitty when they do cute things like that. One of Blackie's daughters, Daisy, is so darned cute that whenever she does something that she's not supposed too, she just gives me the "cute look", and I melt. I think they have us all figured out. :lol: Either that, or we're just big softies. :lol: Have a great day, guys!!!

I'm so happy to hear Mocha is doing so well and is full of naughty mischief and energy!
And wow, 6 months OTJ, way to go girl!!!
 
Congratulations to you and Mocha on 6 months OTJ! She is doing so wonderful! I just started Maggie back on Special Kitty Super Supper. There is a new one with chicken that I bought today, only two cans, as I have to make sure it's lc for Mags. Thanks, Devon, for all your support and stopping by our condo. You brighten our day.
 
That is absolutely wonderful and you are a true inspiration and friend Devon!! It means so much that you still come on here every day and cheer us all on when your own kitty has been at the falls for so long.

What a sweet story. You could never get mad at Mocha for any reason. She is a charmer.

aw, that's the best! so glad for mocha and all of you. i know what you mean about them being naughty but you can't stay mad at them. love the little buggers!

you are such an angel for showing up every day to encourage everyone devon! we missed you when you were off doing the garage sale last week! hope you made lots of money. :-D

What a wonderful thing to celebrate! 6 months OTJ!!! Thanks for the updates on Mocha. It is so nice to hear how the OTJ kitties are doing and I really appreciate you being part of LL and all your wonderful posts, comments, advice, and support.

Yea Mocha! Glad to see she is still doing so well. :smile:

I noticed the Special Kitty when I was at Walmart this week - all of the cans said 'new recipe' so I didn't buy any. SK is 4% carbs... FF is 7% & that has bumped Kazi up a bit I think. Good to hear it appears to still be a good LC option...

has it really been that long? It seems juts like yesterday... congrats to everyone. I am still very glad that you still come and visit us all. Thank you for that - it is wonderful.

It is very hard to believe it has been 6 months already .. we were cruising along testing her randomly and always getting nice 50's/60's so it threw us for a loop when she shot out 80 .. I know I held my breath on that test yesterday! Thankfully she was back down but it just goes to show me it doesn't take much to bump up her numbers ..

I missed you guys last week while I was working the garage sale too .. No, I didn't make any money .. it was kinda like a garage/divorce sale .. My friend's soon to be ex left her for another woman after 10 years of marriage .. she's got three small girls to take care of now on her own .. so sad .. but she'll get there!

In a few weeks we are leaving for another quick get away .. kinda makes me nervous and makes my heart jump around at the thought of leaving her again .. last time we went away (first time in two years) we came back and she had bacteria infections in both ears :sad: But I am sure that won't happen again .... right??
 
I can't believe that it's been six whole months for Miss Mocha Jo Latte!!! I know your sugardance was a long one, so your girl definitely serves as hope and inspiration for many of us who have been at this for awhile, and your daily encouragment and friendship means the world to so many of us. I hope that you have a wonderful getaway!! Miss Mocha will do just great while you're gone, I'm sure! She might have to learn how to jump down from the fireplace, though.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
I can't believe its been six months either. Go Mocha!!!! I love reading about her. She always puts a smile on my face. Thank you for staying on Lantus Land. It wouldn't be the same without you two.
 
I'm late to the party, but had to stop in!! Work just kept me too busy this week.

I'm so glad Mocha is still doing so well!!! And I'm extremely glad that you've stuck around to lend your support to those of us still plodding through the FD dance marathon!! I love it when you visit Champ's condo. Knowing you're there for support and cheerleading is a great feeling!!!

Wow Devon, that 6 months flew by! I'm glad Mocha is doing well and that you are able to have some freedom. I think it was a fluke that she got the ear infection while you were gone last time. I understand your apprehension though, I'd be the same. Is Mocha still getting her beauty treatments???
