Good morning y'all!
Yesterday was a fail of epic proportions. I had forgotten my purse, which had the house keys in it (I hadn't added them to my key ring yet because I hadn't needed to). I get home from work and find the inside door is locked... And my keys are in the house. UGH! I had to drive to another side of town in rush hour traffic to get Caleb's keys. Needless to say, by the time I got home again (an hour after I got off of work), I was a bit cranky. I see my lovely sweet kitty chewed through a garbage bag and took out a piece of pizza. I originally found a bigger wet chunk and crumbs, so I knew something was up. A bit later I found the rest of the pizza slice in his carrier of all places. I thought that was extra odd because he hates that thing! Apparently it was good enough hiding place for his booty though. Needless to say we all had a bit of a crappy day. Me with my forgotten purse and Lou with his day of craptastic numbers. I hope he can shake off the rest of the extra carbs and get down into good numbers again. Needless to say, my house keys have been added to my key ring and I put the keys on my purse so there would be no way I'd forget it today, haha.

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and your kitties stay safe out there! I'm sending love, hugs, and healing vines to all those in need. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think I'd crawl into bed and be done with the day. It's time to put a spare key outside some where. We keep a spare in our shed. If in the dark it's impossible to find it. So that means putting a pen light out there, except it's no good if the batteries have died. Never had to use it though.

Well thankfully he didn't get into chocolate like Luci, but contraband... I had no idea Lou liked pizza. I think he was given a lot of junk food in his previous life (before he came to me). He always seems extra interested when we have fast food in the house.

Definitely! This is already three times one of us has been locked out of the house (Amanda: 1 Caleb: 2), and we've only been there a week. Definitely need to find a good hiding spot for a spare key.

Yesterday was a fail of epic proportions.
I've had those days!:D I have a 6 ' fence around my yard which is locked & needs a key The back door of the garage slammed shut, I had to climb over my fence to go around to the front to get back in my house!
My neighbors just look at me & roll their:rolleyes: eyes! (crazy cat lady)

I thought Lou was going thru a Bounce from the Low BG? My Ravan has been bouncing to the moon lately :(

Hope you have a Great weekend & get some rest :)

OMG! :arghh: I'm stunned!:eek: Luci is definitely a bad influence and is now telling the others what's up with the damn garbage:mad:...or it could be @Kelly and Buddy - Buddy likes to open doors to get at the forbidden fuds...he's got a real talent that one:confused: (see the note on her SS about the chicken leg on 9/20)...just sayin...and I think he may have shown Luci a trick or two...but then again, maybe not...she's been at this kind of behavior for years...likes those hooman sweets and carbs:blackeye:...never really interested in any other hooman foods - of which I'm aware - typical diabetic...going for sweets and carbos...:(

Sorry to hear about the craptastic numbers...at least you knew what was coming...as do I when Luci has gotten into the contraband...little s**t...ahhh...what to do with these cats??? :p

And the door episode...I used to do stuff like that:oops:...finally I wouldn't buy a car without keyless entry...and the same for the house - we have a keypad on the lock...so that took care of that nasty little problem with losing the keys! So I'd suggest, as soon as you can get your feet under you - moving is a big upset/expense - I know - go to Home Depot or Lowe's and take a look at the new keyless locks - so much worth the investment!!! You can even get them to open with your phone...ours is simple though - just punch in a few numbers and the lock can be turned. It's really handy for pet sitters, etc. who need to come in while we're away - as I give them their own code - it's easy to set up - and that way you can disable it when they're done with whatever they were coming there to do. We love ours! Not sure how'd I'd get along without it now.

Hope the day improves Amanda! I was wondering how you guys were doing :) Now I know...he'll be okay soon...

Yeah it was annoying finding the evidence of contraband, and then it made me laugh thinking he's learning bad habits from Luci. He never used to get into things before, but he's only starting it this year. Odd, but I chalk it up to him being diabetic. Thankfully he didn't soar too high and he came back down quickly today. So no harm no foul I reckon (yeah I say that now, haha). I see Luci had a pretty good day after that initial wobble, but I see her bounce hit hard and fast. Hopefully she breaks it quickly for you! :bighug:

We apparently have a keyless lock on our "front" door (it goes into the garage not our house so it feels weird calling it a front door). I'm really excited to utilize it for when we have packages, they could just put it into the garage, leave, and the door locks itself right back up. We have the instructions so we can set it up with a new code, but we haven't gotten around to reprogramming it. I'll see how much I like it as time goes on. I have a garage door opener (Wheee!!), so I've been bypassing that door, haha. Funnily enough, I'm not one to forget things, so me forgetting my purse is pretty rare and I've done it twice in the last week. Moving's thrown me a bit so it'll take me a bit longer to get back into my groove. :cat:
