Zeus didn't eat as much yesterday, didn't finish all of pm meal or the snack that I left out overnight. He is eating this morning, so I guess I will give his full shot. I will check him again before I leave for work (at about +1). With any luck, maybe I can sneek home at some point to do a check as well.

Yes, it's a good idea to have a pokie before you leave for work Kathie. Usually I am more cautious when Rosy starts of the cycle in blue.

Thanks everyone... He was just under 400 last night. Hope he stays lower tonight.

I do have a question about that. Zeus was crazy yesterday before his pm shot, running all around the house, so I thought he was feeling good and expected to see a lower number. I was very surprised when it was close to 400. Is that normal? How do your kitties act at higher numbers?

Hi guys .. nice numbers this morning! When mocha was unregulated, she always felt better in the higher numbers .. we thought the same as you, "oh she must be low this morning/night!" But she rarely was .. her body was more comfortable in the higher numbers, cause she had been there so long .. once she started seeing more and more greens, and now, OTJ, she REALLY runs this house .. zues just needs to get more used to the lower numbers .. it will happen, it just takes time .. have a great day!

Kathie...sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday; it was my work day.

Bounces can take up to 72 hours to clear....sometimes longer depending on the kitty. Zeus is clearing his bounces pretty quickly

How long does it take to stop bouncing? I'm assuming you mean over the long haul not just from cycle to cycle. Kitties bounce until they don't. Sorry....but it's an ECID thing. Some cats stop bouncing after a few cycles, some after a few weeks, some after a few months....some bounce for years. Because bouncing is normal and the kitty's body just has to get used to low numbers again, we just advise you to ignore it. Zeus is starting to get into some nice numbers when he clears so just focus on that and try to put the bounces out of your mind. Hard, I know. I deal with it, too

We have had a nice string of blues today. I am hoping for a good PMPS also, it is almost time to test.

Thanks Marje! Thanks for explaining this too. I have seen lots of posts about bouncing, but I have to say that I haven't really understood it. I am super pleased that Zeus is starting to see some lower numbers, hope he can begin to stay in the blues and then some greens.

Zeus still didn't eat all of his morning frozen snack by the time I got home from work tonight. It makes me nervous when he doesn't eat well. I am going to weigh him tonight... Sure hope he hasn't lost any weight. He should be somwhere between 11 and 12 pounds.
