Good Morning LL! I guess I'm not so depressed this morning. Goofed a little on the +2 mini meal I already had the raw fixed and she wanted it! cat(2)_steam I think she should have had something a little higher to slow her more, that' why I got a +2:30 test. I fed her half of her next meal, 5%. Tess is moving fast, but the bean is moving slow. The alarm is ringing for +3 already. ..... Down 20 points in 30 minutes, slower than the last drop of 50 points in 30 minutes. Gave the rest of the last 5% mini meal.

WCR All 5 Ps today too. Tess has a new perch on top of the curio cabinet, looking out the window. She thinks she is a nice collectable! :-D

Upped her to 10% Friskies pouch, lotsa gravy, about a tsp. She is definitely letting us know she wants more food. Slow down, Pud.

Sure seems like our babies want to shine in green today! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: and go Tess! Somehow I knew it wouldn't take her long to return to the land of the greens. It seems that she and Moonie and Mannie have been in cahoots - and diving is on the agenda. My little bugger just posted a 44, down from a 191. ok then, the diving champion is at work today.

Have a good one! Hope Tess will surf this - very nice string of greens there. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

The 10% did it's job and stopped the drop. Tess is expecting a little more good stuff, I'm going to keep her waiting though and will check again in 30. She is laying by me in the pathetic kitty mode, on side, paws tucked up under chin, soulful eyes. :YMSIGH: Maybe I was just going through testing withdrwal the last 2 days, but I was worrying that I would have to take her further up again to get a response fro, her pancreas. That's happened a couple of times.

And I nearly forgot - on your question, for Mannie, on the LC vs the HC thing. I wrote a little bit about that in my condo yesterday. In a nutshell - yes there is a difference. LC is doable for most of his drops - just not for days like today where we went from 190 to 44. that just has to be HC, and even now the rise is very slow.

Back down so a little more 10%, but it had been an hour since the last snack.

Glad it's working, Michelle. For Tess when she is dropping I up the carbs like today, but as soon as i see a surf I either stop the extra feeding or go to a lower carb snack. It seems that she surf longer then. I understand withe the weight problem, but ours is opposite. I have a hard time getting her to eat enough. You should see DH following her around with the food dish and extra water to add, "Ah Madame, a little fresh watair on zat?" That's why we weigh her food to make sure she gets enough calories. You can't judge accurately by volume. You might try that w/ Mannie, you'd know how much extra he eats and could shave a little off other times.

Hi Ann - yes on the HC thing - It did make a difference the other day - he did surf longer, had a better green number:

I have also ordered a scale so I can start to weigh what I am feeding - this visual guessing just isn't always the best. I have a scale already, but it doesn't weigh fractions of ounces. So - hope it will help - poor boy loves his food, and it shows. :lol:

Hey Tess - sounds great - Stu will be happy. We can kept tabs on him - he was dropping when they left - it would be good to check up on him. I know on the diet thing - geez - she keeps feeding me this stuff, what's a guy to do? Now a diet????? I agree - stop messing with the fuds! See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Moonie has her surfboard out & is headed for where Tess is!!--It's rare that she is lower than Tess, but Moonie likes the drama of today!

Pretty close to a surf, fed a little 8% this time w/ a touch of gravy, I think that should do it. She should be past nadir, but you never know w/ Tess.

I haven't gotten to Stu's condo yet, Tess has been keeping me busy. i thought w/ getting up at 4:30 I'd get a lot done on the board earlier. it was still past +2 when I got around to posting Tess for the first time. And we are now a 2 pots of coffee in the morning household.

Michelle where did you order your scale? They have a nice little one on sale for $12 at Harbor Freight.

Hi Ann - from Amazon - it looked good, was a markdown from some kitchen place, measured "micro-ounces", about $15.00 I think.

nice on getting her to surf. Mannie's close, still took HC/gravy to maintain, so hopefully this next test should be it - shessh we are at +7, past what is normal nadir. There are times he drives me crazy!

Tell me about it, Tess is usually about +4 for nadir and we just got a 48 at +6:30, just to let me know who is in charge. I split up the last 2 mini breffis, maybe I should have not stretched the last one out so far. Learning curve! :-D

I know! ... i dunno - on the meal thing- i just went with 7% @ 60, we will see what he does - we will see if I guessed right. that was at +7, way past what is his usual nadir. :shock: . he just does not want to surface....

you are so right - always a learning curve. I finally get a pattern set for him, think I understand what is going on, and things shift. well duh I guess. :-D

OK, up to 59 at +7 and fed .2 oz of 3%. I hope we're not feeding too late. they seem to be right together again.

that they are... and I know on the food. I hate it when I don't know for sure... Mannie just posted a 74, so I am done for a bit. I hope the 7% didn't mess things up, but done deal, so we wait and see. I hopes he just surfs there. You too Tess! I think she will.

So take a break for a bit and go do something fun... I'm off to walk for a while - need to relax some, away from cat stuff. :-D

DH has promised to test at +8, I'm off to the studio to see if the kiln has been opened yet, and of course to Petsmart for more catfood, :roll:

Back down to 50 at +8, so fed about 0.15oz of 10%. Mama Bean is happy, cause numbers are down, and she gets to test all she wants to. She missed this one though, cause she went to the studio. :mrgreen:

Nice job there - Mannie on the other hand shot up to 180 - so much for getting him to surf on through. Too many carbs i think at the +7 mark. darn it! Tess sure has had a great day though. nice!

Tess must like being tested. 49 at +9 for her snack, then I checked again at +9:30 and she is 66, so now at a comfortable number. I gave her 1/4 oz 10%. Hope she goes up a little for the preshot :roll:

I came home and Tess was laying on the couch looking worn out, or maybe anemic from blood loss from all the poking today. :roll: DH had some excitement while I was gone, but Tess just came back down again for the low of the day, 43. ohmygod_smile

Michelle, you and I have got to get a pact going , you tell me to feed higher carbs and i'll tell you to cut back. I'm going to see if Tess will settle in for a short nap w/ me. i've had a dull sinus headache for two days. Driving across the river I saw why, there is so much dust in the air you can barely see the hills. Pseudophed opened up by sinuses, but now I really need a nap.

You shot a 49? way to go! BOS, and all that. oh boy! now if that was Mannie he'd would have gotten HC with dinner. There's no way he'd be able to hold that at this point in time. Good luck!

Aaahhhhhh! nailbite_smile I tested at =11:30 and she was 46 ( .125oz 8% snack to bring her up) then the 49, 20 minutes later for PMPS. It's a rise or at least a surf, especially considering the 43 at +10:30. I gave her half her PS meal at 10% with a little extra 15% gray to top it off.

I had meant to take a 30 minute nap, but I swear it was Tess who reached dover and turned the alarm off. :oops: So we have a new record low number that I have shot at. nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

Gave Tess the second half of her first dinner. Did that make any sense? I fed her ProPlan Chicken Entree -Chunky. The GA numbers worked out to9%, but could well be less. Any one feed this or have the As Fed numbers. She likes it though!

Darn! Just looked at the SS and we have one stinking white box this AM! :lol:

The ProPlan did nothing to boost her numbers, must be lower than 9%. I gave her an extra snack of 15% Wellness Pouch w/ gravy. Come on UP, Tess.

I had the Karo out ready for the next test, but Tess was up to 54 so I held off and gave the rest of 2nd dinner of 18% heavy on the gravy. I've got a feeling I'm going to run out of subject space again. Now stay up here Girl. If she drops below 50 again I will definitely give her a little syrup. Back in 30.

this didn't post before so I'm back already. +3~ 61., fed another 1/4 oz of ProPlan Chicken.

we are still surfin' the yellows... looks like maybe i can go tomorrow. part of me wants the greens back, the other part wants a day to hike. hmmmmm - i wonder who will win. :-D

Just remember that you need a couple of rising numbers (or surfs) without HC. As the HC wears off, numbers can drop.

Got it Sienne, that's why I held off giving Karo. I knew she would just drop later and she was out of the 40s by then.
