Congrats on finishing the race. I did a race this summer where my goal was "to finish and not be embarassingly last" and my stretch goal was "not last". I made my stretch goal. :lol: Next race I may challenge myself a bit more. Set your expectations appropriately and you will be pleasantly surprised.
At the beginning of the 5K my goal as to not be last. About half way through I said screw it and changed my goal to just finish it without dying lolol.....SUCCESS!!!
We now interrupt your regularly scheduled Facebook surfing for Day 4 of Molly's Gratitude Challenge:
1. I am grateful I survived not only the MN Wild 5K, but more specifically that %*$*(&( hill in the MN Wild 5K. I actually attempted to do more than walk (and trust me, YOU are should be grateful you didn’t see me attempt to more than walk), so it took a bit more out of me than I thought.
1a. I am grateful this is the last 5K I have signed up for in 2014.
2. I am grateful for my extensive movie collection. No matter my mood, I have a movie that will fit it. It also helps pass those long nights when Skooter decides to go blood glucose cliff diving and I have to stay up super late to continue to monitor him.
3. I am grateful for this amazing Fall weather and no, not just because my birthday is in the Fall. The temps are not SUPER cold yet, I can enjoy bonfires, hot apple cider, beautiful changing colors of the leaves. There is just something about the “crispness” during this time of year that I love.
