Yellow this AM, with a 252. Not too bad of a bounce from yesterday's green cycle. It was a nice day yesterday for Mannie: a green :mrgreen: AM cycle, which was controlled through additional LC feedings. Mannie bounced a little at pmps, but managed to find the blues by mid cycle. All in all - a great day!

It's been a rainy week here, for the most part, but we did get some warmth, though windy, weather by afternoon (thanks Tena for sending it from Texas). Mannie was so happy to be able to spend the afternoon out in the yard, while I tackled the never ending yard work. He spent the afternoon touring, grass rolling, leaf chasing and general supervision of my feeble attempts at maintenance. It was funny to watch him take in the new sniffs every time the winds picked up: head went up, ears went back, nose was just twitching something fierce. It was a very nice afternoon for him. This morning is full of normalcy: breffis eaten, preening done, civvies all put in their place, interior patrol done, catnip slobbered on, window perch inhabited. As I sat down here to do my daily post I could have sworn I heard him say: order nanners. Guess I had better order nanners.

great post! Sounds like you both had a nice day yesterday .. now you better get to ordering those nanners .. you do NOT want an unhappy mannie on your hands do you?? Oh what we won't do for these kitties ... have a great day guys!

And no - not fooling me - down at +2 already. Pat he must have read that and thought - hmmmm best get with the program. besides the weather sucks today - sure a change from yesterday - so I can hear him thinking: might as well keep the bean busy. :-D :-D

Shad-O! DUDE! We have sooooooooooooooooo many autumn leaves. I can bring tons and tons and tons. You should send Stu hunting too - I hear his bean says the leaves on their paddle trips are so pretty. YES! Autumn leaves. I am on it buddy. I will call you ~~ Mannie

And you're welcome Barb. I know exactly where you are at - been there. Mannie has been a challenge, and I am still learning.

well now! expected a continuing drop - but whoa on the 44. 44 !?!?! Geez Mannie, and looks like my walk is postponed for a bit.

So - 44 @ +4, fed tsp 18% HC, and will check in 30 minutes.

Good thing I stocked up on strips, and food...

44 @ +5, fed 1 tsp 18% HC with a drop of karo- I really would like to get him out of the 40's... will test again in 30 minutes.

53 @ +5.5 - karo bumped him up a few points. I fed another small tsp of 18%, will see where he is at next test before deciding on what to feed, if anything. Mannie should be at nadir at that point. Will test again at +6

Yes , they are keeping us busy. It seems like i test, test feed, post and it's time to test again. I've been trying to get to condos but Tess doesn't want to share the attention this morning. Looking like a good place to surf Mannie!

60 @ +7 - hopefully we will surf this. he should be passed nadir - so... only fed a 7%LC/MC, see where he is at @ +7.5, and go from there.

Hi MJ - no - he doesn't... ohmygod_smile he must like it down there... taking a chance, sort of, with the 7% now, we will see what it does.

74 @ +7.5 - YAY - we are up enough that I can back off the food, and let him surf a bit. Which, paws crossed, he will do....

I had to laugh: when I went to get him for this test, sat him on my lap he let out the biggest sigh, with that not gain look on his face. made me smile. Gave him a big hug, and told him we are done pokin' - at least for a bit. I am off now to take a walk and a short break from meters, and test strips, and karo, and HC and gravy... Off to smell the flowers - it I can find any.

74 @ + 7.5, no food given, put him back to his bed so he can sleep, will check when I get back from my walk, at about +9.5

pmps: 264... bummer! but what a cycle this morning!

Mannie had his usual 3% chicken for dinner, spent 10 minutes afterwords preening and cleaning anywhere he could reach and promptly headed outside to secure the perimeter for the evening. The belly is full, the face etc is super clean, and all is now safe and secure. Good job Mannie. cat_pet_icon

We had a little discussion tonight - his bean wants to go hiking tomorrow - hey: it's the one sunny day we are supposed to have this week - so I asked for safe :shock: numbers. nice blue surf would be good. :lol: , and we shall see what I get come morning.

This has been one exciting day in Lantus Land!! I think Stu was in on the green action, too, but don't know how low he went. Thanks, Mannie, for coming up here to hunt leaves. We have quite a few beautiful ones already. Stu was so happy to see you and his fellow green surfers (Moonie, Tess, and others whose condos I haven't been to yet). Now, have a more restful evening and we'll check back later.

Absolutely! I will take whatever he can dish out tonight - just let me go hike tomorrow. I hate to have to leave all that MC stuff out tomorrow if I can do other wise. I dunno - seems like he goes low mid-day all the time now anyways. I Just may have to leave higher carb stuff out - like Ella did today for Stu. I've done it before - just not my fav thing. well, will just see what number he gives me in the morning and go from there. And yes - very similar to this AM. oh boy - i wonder if he'll repeat... :shock:

Looks like the KTS will be bust tonight: soup for Copper, soup for Muffin.

Good night, Michelle, and I hope you will enjoy your hike tomorrow. When I leave out the MC for Stu I mix in some LC, too. (Actually, I put them side by side in the automat tray: more LC than MC unless he really looks ready to dive). That way he of course eats the MC first and then has the LC if he wants more food. Usually he winds up messing them together.

thanks on the hike stuff - I more than likely will go - given a decent amps. i'll just leave mc out for him - he should be fine. it's what I did last week, and it worked out OK.

hi Ann - oh yeah - i know. the question is when - i usually can get a day out of these surfs -so... paws crossed that I see more of the same tomorrow morning. That sounds so bad - hoping for yellow after a wonderful ride like today. oh well -it will be what it will be, and we will deal in the morning, postpone if I have to.
