HAPPY FURSDAY!!!

AMPS smacked us with a bounce back to reality from the 60+ hours of blues and greens. Was glad to see the return of green at +8! He seems to be feeling good, not playing as much as the last few days, but sleeping less, head-butting and letting us know how attention-starved he is. ;-) One thing I meant to mention earlier - the testing chair is a rocker/recliner, so it moves a lot. Oreo will run and bound onto the back of it, making it lean all the way back almost falling over, before REBOUNDING with a major THUD!! Hershey doesn't get up there, I think because he feels a little unsteady on his feet. Anyhoo - over the last week, he's gotten on the back of the chair two or three times! Maybe it means he's feeling more confident?

The tricksy hobbit got into Oreo's food at PMPS, don't think he got much, though. And, that PMPS makes me wonder if he's planning shenanigans tonight...I need to tell him I'll be watching him

Libby, great shootin' and great BOS today! A bounce to yellows isn't that bad and he sure got back to business pretty quickly. It's so good to hear that Hershey is feeling more playful and active. Have a good evening!

Hey, Barb - Yes, ma'am - (32) - so he scored some kitty crack and seems pretty pleased with himself. :roll: Thanks, Barb. Hershey has pulled these Shenanigans several times now. He usually comes up with his LC, but in the 30's I went straight for the good stuff.


+3.5 (34) - Fed 1/2T 19% - This is the first time he's meowed that I wasn't feeding fast enough in a few months...

I like the greens, but this early in the cycle I wouldn't mind a few points higher. Will test again in :30.

+4 (53) - He was clearly disappointed he didn't get more kitty crack. But, demz da breaks! Decided not to feed and we'll see where he is in :30

Hey, Tamara - Hershey thanks you for the atta-boy! Yes, ma'am, might be a busy night. And here I thought the shave was to keep things calm until after DGS arrives. :razz:

Not quite sure what this means as far as dosing...I really don't want to do a full reduction because they haven't worked out so far. We took the shave 9/18 PM, so it's probably too soon for another one...And, he hasn't been difficult to bring up tonight...

I would take another shave with numbers in the 30s. It has been 5 cycles since the last one so I don't think this will still be shed action, I think Hershey has earned it fair and square.

I think this is Hershey's way of telling you that the last shave wasn't close enough. I'd say .5 even? Combined, these last two reductions would only add up to .15u, Normally, I might say "the shed hasn't caught up to the dose yet", but how long should it take to adjust for a .05 shave?

ETA - y'all got a baby on the way in the next couple days, you don't need Hershey pulling these hijinx in the middle of family time.

That's for sure! We had tried the .45u (full .25u reduction) and the .5u dose, which both failed. That's why we were trying the .6u this time. Silly kitty. This is partly my fault, though. Hershey had been begging for some of Oreo's food and I told him he'd have to bring those numbers down if he wanted something besides his regular food. :lol:

Oh, I understand the logic, after the .4 and .5 didn't take, choosing the .6 this time. And it worked nicely :smile: I'm just thinking that "now" he's a different kitty than he was "then", a little bit more "healed"? You could try finding .55u on the calipers perhaps? But then I was also thinking that if one of you needs to run off to greet the grandbaby, and Hershey decides to do something like tonight to convince you otherwise, that wouldn't be a great thing for the one left home with the poker and the meter. ;-)

Hey, Liz - Thanks for stopping by. I'm afraid Mr. Wild Man has about partied out and is napping! :lol:

Carl - I'd love to go with the .55u, but with the baby (hopefully!) coming SOON! I sure don't want him pullin' shenanigans! I don't see either of us missing the big event to stay home with him. It'd be one of those - let him have the whole can of 19% and LET'S GO! Not ideal...

You're right; he's a different kitty, hopefully more healed than when we tried .5u before. So, I'm thinking if he bounces PINK before 3am, we'll go with .6u, then shave to .5u at 3pm. If he doesn't, we'll shave to .5u at 3am.


I kept thinking I was going to get to visit condos tonight. But, first one thing, then another, plus Hershey's impromptu PJ party...

Hey, Michelle - No worries, never too late to have a friend visit...overlook the jammies - we've been having a PARTY!!! :-D Sounds like another fun day with Nicholas.
