Last night, we had our first instance where a sitter had trouble getting blood from Moonie’s ear poke. Thankfully Wendy gave great advice that calmed me down, and the sitter was eventually able to get a reading. I also feel better knowing that we’ve picked a conservative enough dose that a skipped test here or there will be ok.
Yesterday I thought of Moonie a lot during our tours. One of our last stops was the Irish Whiskey Museum, where we got to try Poitin, a traditional Irish “moonshine” (Moonie’s government name!). Poitin smelled really strongly like potato, and that made me think of her even more because Moonie loves starches and potato water in particular. When we were growing our potato slips, she would always sneak in to drink the water that the potato was submerged in. And then the Poitin tasted so sweet, just like Moonie.
I photoshopped Moonie into our photos from the Powerscourt garden and waterfall yesterday. She would have loved it, running around gnawing on all the expensive plants she’s not supposed to be destroying
