Yesterday was........ Zener Slide day, a masterful execution by Mannie, the Nanner King. :shock: :cool: :cool: ;-) We started out yellow made a nice slow, well sorta slow, slide into the green lagoon by +11. WOO HOO! I had gone hiking yesterday, and have no clue :shock: on what he did during the bulk of the morning. DH fed as if it were a drop (held my breath with that +3 drop - and wondered if I should stay home...) to make sure Mannie was safe. I came home to a 122. :-D Well done Mannie. He met me at the door, ever the prancer. When he started pacing in the kitchen I knew I'd better test, rather than wait til PMPS, and sure enough: a 40 point drop to an 82 in an hour.... "WELCOME HOME MOM!" was the look on his face.... WOO HOO! love the Zener slide. Lubs ya big guy - what a day! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D :-D We had a great first day of September in the PNW: sunny,warm at 65/70: just a beautiful day all-around. Mannie I am told spent the day sunning on the deck, and in the yard. I hear that several yard patrols were undertaken, perimeter security checked and rechecked, ground cover revisited several times, winding up with a sun bathing session on the deck. :cool: :cool: Mannie seems to feel great - all recovered from events of weeks past. Purrs abound, head rubs are prevalent, and nanner sleeping rules over all else. I found him hugging several of them yesterday afternoon. :lol: :lol: This morning we had a great test, feed (YES!!!!!), shoot and clean plate club (YAY, membership still intact), AND the auto feeder was ignored by Mannie, (again!) :shock: Elsa too (again)... Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D How great it is to be able to continually say: NORMALCY! ;-) WOO HOO! :cool: :cool: :cool:

Have a great day everyone! Today is for sure a day for all those chores and errands and laundry and shopping and yard work and bills and cleaning.... since I have ignored them while DGS was here, and played yesterday.... so time to take care of all the "fun" stuff.... WOO HOO! I hope to be able to get in a walk to the shore sometime during the day too.

Hey everybody!!! I so wanna go on a paddle today - like Rusty's beans do... maybe we could find a really cool lake somewhere and do that. And have a picnic on the shore, maybe grill some stuff too. What'd'ya guys think? You in? let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

Mannie, look around, lots of reductions happening today. You should slide gently back down in some low blues and high greens today.
At least come dip your toes in and feel the green.

Nice greens yesterday! Flat yellow so far, but who knows now that Mannie has the Zener slide down. Beautiful pictures!! have a great day Michelle!

Hi Michelle, that sure was a nice green pm cycle yesterday! Thanks on the ~O) ~O) So cute when Mannie greets you at the door. Beautiful pics and what a pretty lake. Looks like Mannie is sticking to yellow so far! Mannie, how about another nice slide today.

Mannie, a paddle sounds fun. Maybe we can travel to one of the pretty lakes your Bean has been and have a picnic, too. I'll pack up some hotdogs and niptunis for everyone. See ya soon at the curb, Mags

Hi Ann - Yesterday was a good one for him - loved it! today.... a resting day, and UGH on that +8. oh well.... hopefully he will clear it soon. :-D THX: lake was nice - small, but a great little spot. I enjoyed the time there. -- Could be on the slide today. maybe? not too sure now with that +8. well, this is Mannie, and anything is possible! :lol:

Hi Leslie - oh yes - that he does. There is often no rhyme nor reason for what he does. All I can do is follow his lead,a dn try and steer the ship if I can get a clue of where he is headed. :lol: :lol: I to hope he clears it quickly. Paws crossed! THX on the pics - it was very pretty. :-D

I think mannie has gone looking for Tess! She seem to be headed down though and I'll tell her to bring Mannie with her. What a gorgeous spot for you hike yesterday, John is off to Deception Pass w/ the kids today.

Hi Ann - could be... I hope Tess finds him and escorts him to the lagoon. Stairway guys - stairway: no express elevators allowed. :lol: :lol: THX on the pics from yesterday - it was really a nice lake. I really enjoyed it. It would be a great escape place once summer and the crowds are over. Very cool for John - he will love Deception Pass - BEAUTIFUL spot!!

Tess - a cookout? COOKOUT?!?!?!?? I simply cannot miss that - OK. I gotta find the way down. Z-man - Pull harder!! Tess is here too! We think we found the way, but need some help! OK - call out to Z-Man Tess, we is good to go ~~ Mannie

Hi Michelle,
It is so great that Mannie is over the issues of recent weeks and back to his old self. I wonder about the automat, however. Are you putting different food in it? If even Elsa ignores it, something must be "wrong"!!

That is certainly a beautiful lake. Maybe you can take Nicholas there this fall. We don't have much fall color yet, but it is starting. They don't expect it to be brilliant this year because it has been so dry. Many trees, birch trees in particular, are dropping their leaves already to preserve their strength for winter.

Have a great hike tomorrow. We're paddling on the Oswegatchie River; we haven't been there yet this year. It is beautiful and remote. I hope it has enough water in it!!

Hi Ella - Oh yes on Mannie being over the issues. I am ever so glad. :razz: :razz: :razz: :razz: We still haev a few followup tings to do, but I am sure they will be OK. And I know on the auto feeder... same fuds, no change there. Who knows with Elsa :lol: :lol: I really need to take it apart and give it a good cleaning: i wash it out daily, but.... maybe it just needs to be replaced. I dunno..... -- I thought so too on the lake. It is small, but quite nice. I would like to take Nicholas there, maybe in the fall, might wait til spring. It's a 1200 foot climb, and I'm afraid that I'd end up carrying him if we went now. :shock: :shock: -- fall s starting here too: leaves are starting to fall. I wonder how much color we will get. We had such a wet spring, but this august has been dry: no rains. -- enjoy your paddle. omg: I too hope it has water in it! :o :o :lol:
