Morning - Decided to go BTB after this AMs chores. But then the phone range. It was my friend who found a kitty out in the woods, in the Eldorado National Forest. It is like a miracle - this kitty ran in front of her truck as she drove along a lonesome, abandoned timber sale road literally in the middle of no where last Tuesday. Se stopped immediately & this kitty came right up to her, talking & purring the whole time, skinny as a rail. This is such a heartwarming rescue story & it was love at first sight. The kitty has been to the vet, weights less than 2 pounds, and is on a gradual recovery program for a couple of weeks before more vet work is done. I just e-mailed a bunch of food & nutrition information that I became aware of only after joining FDMB because of Lanky's diabetes dx. The good things that happen as a result of FDMB must be enormous & they continue to compound. Thank you FDMB! This lucky kitty is a little girl, tortoise shell calico with mostly yellow tabby markings, named Sunny.
Now for Lanky - he is feeling more chipper today & more active. He is bugging me for a snack now but I want to wait until after the +3 BG. And, he says he is quite interested in meeting this new little lady in town!
Hope you all have a great day!
ETA- finally got the month right! ;-)
