9/18 Shasta

Good afternoon!

Yes, I'm just now getting to typing up my condo as I eat my lunch. :roll: Better late than never...although there are some things in life that I just assume should fall under that never category...like stupid paper paperwork. ;-)

Shasta didn't have any falling toiler issues this morning and I woke up on time (even though I wanted to hit snooze for another hour!)...so already, today is going much better. Last night, Shasta's excursion to the LB left a nice, LONG prezzie :!: but I have to say, she wasn't in the happiest of moods afterwards. I'm not sure if it was just me over-reacting, but she seemed kind of grumpy after that LB visit. Maybe she felt like she was losing a friend...one that she had been cultivating for a few days?! I don't know. I assume it was probably still painful from the anal sac issues the other night. :sad: Poor thing.

I got into bed at about 11:30pm, last night, with Shasta snuggled up next to me on my pillow. At 12:00am, I woke up to what I thought was Shasta snoring, but it didn't sound right and it freaked me out. So I felt around to see where she was; couldn't find her in bed; grabbed my glasses, turned on the lights...not in my room. She was sweetly sleeping out on the couch, where she gave me a little meow as I woke her up (making sure she was alive!) So, as I crawled back into bed, I started wondering if I woke myself up with my own snoring or I have another creature in my house that likes to fall asleep in my bedroom, near enough to me that I hear it snoring. Things that make ya go hmmmm..... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Her appy was pretty good this morning. I think she's getting over the initial like of the Merrick Turducken, but I think tonight will be the finishing off of that can. I got a call last night from a friend of mine asking if I could fill in for their music director that has to be out of town tonight through Sunday and of course, I couldn't say no. SO, with that said, I'm off to learn a few songs before my next class starts.

Glad to hear today started off better than yesterday!

:lol: :lol: Oreo used to have issues of having prezzies stay attached after exiting LB. And, he'd go RACING through the house being chased by what we called his friend! :lol: :lol: Thankfully, it hasn't happened lately - chasing him is NOT my favorite game!

paha on that 'Snoring Monster' awakening you! My mom used to wake herself up, too!

Hope Shasta comes down a little tonight.

I bet that was difficult after the anal gland. Can't feel any better than hem, hemmaroids, hemmrhoids., hemroids.

Hi Libby, Shasta hasn't had a dangler in a while, but man, when she used to have them...she was hilarious...running around like someone was chasing her (too bad she's an only child!) :lol: :lol: She came down a little tonight, but I think I got a little carb heavy at the beginning so not too much time spent in the greens. Oh well. Hope Hershey had a good day & night! Sleep well!!!

Sorry I missed a few posts last night...tried to get to bed early (didn't really happen)...but tonight, I WILL SUCCEED!

Liz, I do have some German heritage ...on my dad's side! haha_smiley Looks like it skips a generation or so!

Marje, I'm still not convinced that she has safe numbers during the day. I pray she does, but when I look at her SS, her morning numbers and evening numbers are very similar from what I have logged...but I can't guarantee that she eats during the day like I know she eats at night because I bug her based on her BG number. I really hope that she's an intelligent cat and eats when she's low, but take today for instance, she didn't eat ANY of her automatic feeder snacks. Didn't touch them!!!! :shock: I really hope she didn't dip too low. I've really been trying to front load her with carbs to help offset that drop of hers. Hope Miss Gracie is doing well tonight and hope you get to listen to a little Michael Buble (and not Michael Bubble!) before the end of the day.

Hi Donna, :lol: on the cat in the toilet! Shasta has fallen in once that I know of when my sister and her then husband where cat sitting (many years ago...when Shasta was a baby and was nice to others!) Silly, prideful kitties! I guess that's the other nice thing about living in a smaller city...I live >7 minutes from my school. So, even when I'm running late, I'm not that far away...and yet I still yell at people for being stupid! Hope Doogle is having a great day...and you, too!!

Since Shasta's numbers are already rising, I'm hittin' the sack REALLY early tonight. Sorry not to make it around to any condos, but this week is kickin' my booty! Hope everyone is having a good day/evening with happy, healthy kitties. Sending healing vines to any kitties and hoomins that need 'em! Sweet dreams (and quiet(er) snores).

p.s. I'm giggling uncontrollably right now because as I was trying to wrap up this post, Shasta felt that I needed some EXTRA help and crawled up onto my lap (the portion that doesn't have my laptop on it) and up my chest...staring me nose to nose. She's now laying on me, staring at me, purring, with her paw on my chest/shoulder as if to say...times up...stop typing and let's go to bed. With that said, Good Night!
