well...what a difference a bg number makes for Binks!
Here with me this morning is the active, alert, hungry little clown that I'm used to seeing...
making circuits around the room on the furniture...
jumping up on the kitchen counter and enthusiastically trying to dislodge the cover from the peach custard pie :o ...
hiding behind the bedroom door until the girls aren't looking, then slamming it against the wall & scaring the peewaddin out of them. :lol:
and all of this accompanied by unceasing exercise of his extensive vocal repertoire...
which has me craving a cup of Constant Comment Tea.

he woke me at his +11 and gave me a lovely 70. :mrgreen:

I need to note here that we are having food issues for the first time in memory...
and at this point the only thing i can get him to eat and keep down is 6% Authority Chicken Pate.
This started about a month ago...when he's vetted after the 22nd i hope to rule out any physical causes.
he was happy with the Wellness, and i think what happened with it was a scarf & barf, but havent been willing to try it again just yet.

Has anybody else noticed that since Friskies changed their labels, the food content seems to have changed as well?

Binks has always been a Friskies guy, but now it seems that he turns his nose up at his favorite flavors, and Annie does the same.
In each of their favorite flavors, I've found that 5 cans out of 6 are repulsive to them, and the coloration and consistency
is different as well.
We know our Friskies round this house....and this stuff AIN'T IT!!

Wow, Binksy, congrats on a green! :mrgreen: I thought at first I was in the wrong condo, how exciting. I don't think it's going to take long for Binks to get back to the Falls. I've not used Friskies for Maggie, but I noticed when they changed the formula on the FF line, there were some flavors that Maggie wouldn't eat! Do you know what they added to the formula tht is different from the original one?

There was a thread about a month ago in health with a lot of cats going off food for some reason. One of the reasons was the Frisky's change. I guess magnesium content was changed also.

WOOT!!!! Go Binksie! I think the kids are plotting something. :roll:

Every so often Tess will turn up her nose at the regulars, then a few days later all is well, I think she gets bored. Wellness chicken seem to be off the menu except in small amounts though. It may be texture as well as taste, really soft pates have to be turned into soup!

think that +2 is food influenced.
The good news is, he ate 3% Friskies special diet OWF & T for his +2.

and he stopped eating FF pate as well, Ann.
not a clue what they changed...i'll have to go check out that thread.

he's carb sensitive enough that i best get some researching done!

and thanks for the cheers...he listened to you guys yesterday! :-D

What a great morning...I've been watching over you for the last week and have seen the colorful array Binks has been displaying. I'm so glad to see such beauties so early.

Hold on Binks, don't you go bouncing all over...it only gets better from here!

guess his bean best just remember that he's leading the waltz...
it's possible that he went lower during the night while i slept,
and maybe mr L is reactin' poorly.

You looked sooo nice in green, that was a reeeal good color on you!!

OK, I think you may be trying the different colors.... I liked the green best on you, the blue looked nice too, yet yellow...hmmm, I like the other colors better. Don't even think about trying the pink it is not a color for you!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Lovely GREEN AMPS!!! OK, Binks....no need to bounce from those beautiful numbers, c'mon back down from there!

I had to change Zoe's food to something w/o fish....as she seems to have developed a fish allergy or sensitivity....we found Merrick's Before Grain food.....she likes it and they all seem to be low in carbs :mrgreen:

maybe with my Tigger Ear Cap and matching Paw Mittens!
(which i like to wear to crowded places on hot days to keep folks guessing) ;-)

Well, he may be in the yellows...but Lil Mister is seemingly still feeling better...
He is currently at the back door trying to convince me it is time we go out for his
daily Yard Tour (a new activity we started when he went OTJ)...

Binks is a trailblazer who likes to do things his own way. maybe he doesn't want to be lower at +6 today. Binks has other plans!

perhaps he's looking for those cute little green pj's again!

well, i hope i did the right thing here...
i chose to keep this dose and shoot thru the bounce...
didn't check with the gurus...

we'll see where he goes with it.

we did go out for his afternoon constitutional in his big backyard...
it's the bright point in his day! in addition to all the fascinating sights and smells & the fresh air...
he never fails to get a chance to chase the Tortie Girls around the yard.
There are few things more heartwarming for me than seeing him gallop after them...head thrown high
and that toothy grin of his expressing sheer joy!

The girls are somewhat less enthusiastic about the whole deal :lol:

I think Binks is trying to keep you on your toes--that's all!! Yo Binksy! You can come down again now. Back to GREEN. Yea for GREEN! Interesting about the food. What was he eating before going back on the juice? Could the insulin somehow react chemically with certain foods?
