Thank you, he is having an active cycle…first one in a long time…of course it’s because I was supposed to go out!Good luck with the increase Jackie![]()

They have impeccable timing! How long do you have to go out for?Thank you, he is having an active cycle…first one in a long time…of course it’s because I was supposed to go out!![]()
Yes. You want to "feed the curve" to flatten it out. Maybe if you feed less with shot, he might be inclined to have some snacks later in the cycle? Is that something I should be doing just when I test on an active cycle?
Sorry, yes, this message came around 3am, my time. Looks like he put paid to any plans to go out! LOL+8 119
@Bandit's Mom if I had started feeding at +3 when I saw he was going down a lot, do you think I could have flattened things out more quickly? He ate around +4 anyway, but then I started feeding every hour after that. Now that he’s had a few flat readings do you think it’s safe to go out until his PM shot?
ETA I know your time zone is far ahead of mine so I’ll hang out and take one more reading and await your reply when you are available. Thank you!
Thank you, sounds good! I just got a chance to read the post you linked about feeding the curve in its entirety, and will plan on doing this going forward. He did well with my extra feeding times so hopefully that will continue and we can make it a habit.Sorry, yes, this message came around 3am, my time. Looks like he put paid to any plans to go out! To answer your question about food, yes, if you had started feeding at +3, he might have dropped less at 4 and subsequently. In fact, if you aren't doing this already, you want to feed a part of the PS meal at +1 and +2. That reduces the diving at onset. In active cycles, you want to feed a tsp of food after every test.
Thanks, Jen! I was seriously starting to wonder if I left the insulin out too long at some point and it wasn’t working anymore…Look at all those blues!! Go biggie!
