Last evenings "Food Trial" readings were odd.
First I got 33. Panicked thinking Sister would need HC/Karo.
Tested 3 more times within 5 minutes and got:
133
121
131
Fed her and tested at +3. Got 100.
This morning's AMBG was 103.
Not sure what happened. Perhaps Sister got into the other cats' HC when I was napping but not sure.
I hope it does not mean her body wants/needs the drop of insulin.

When I first saw the numbers I thought back to a drop. I’m leaning toward trying it again but let’s see. Is there any way to switch the others to lower carb dry or maybe pick it up when you are sleeping or away from home?

When not giving insulin a lower bg is no cause for alarm and NEVER time for higher carbs. Just feed her lc as she won’t have a symptomatic hypo when not on insulin. I totally understand your initial response though.

I remove ALL food now when I am sleeping. Yesterday was an accident. Did not intend to drift off at 5pm and forgot the food was on the high credenza where she might have had access.
Until Wednesday, I had no idea she could jump that high again. Neuropathy had her grounded.
