I think I'm starting to see a trend with Trix's higher "+3" pokies....I recently changed my morning workout schedule, and that has resulted in a change in her feeding schedule. Most of the time, I now do the "extra-early" workout - as opposed just the "plain old early" workout - and on these extra-early mornings, she ends up getting fed closer to when I do that +3 test...it's really more like a 1.25 - 1.5 hours after she last ate. When I used to do the "plain old early" workouts, her test was actually about 2-2.5 hours after eating. On my day's off, my workout schedule - and therefore her feeding schedule - follows the "plain old early" schedule. So I think on the days I do the "extra early workout", I think I'm actually seeing a bit of a food spike, since it really hasn't been that long since she last ate. At least that's what I'm hoping. I'm going to keep an eye on the trend and see if my theory is right.

She is eating like a happy little glutton today. She does seem to be eating more and more from the plate without me holding it, but we still have a ways to go before I feel secure. At this point, I still have to put the plate in front of her - she won't walk up to it on her own. But it looks like she has started taking more kitten steps towards independent eating again!

My Dad was starting to feel a bit better yesterday, but still felt pretty yucky. Hopefully today will be better. Personally, my hands were already feeling the effects of cooler weather....they just don't work well when it's cold. It's not an ache, really...but I drop a lot of little things (like beads) when my hands are cold. Hard to explain, and as a beader, it's very frustrating.

Another long day of teaching while running the store by myself today....have a great day, LL!

I think you're on to something with the early workout vs. the extra early workout and the food spike. Makes sense to me, anyway.

Hope your dad keeps moving on the feelbetter swing of this cycle.

Bring it on down Trixie. Those little changes in routine can throw everyone off. I bet her numbers have to do with the fuds right around +3. Glad she is still eating happily.

Good news that your dad is feeling better. More healing vines coming your way for your dad and sending some for your hands.

Have a great day Amy!

Hi Amy! just stopping by to say I hope your Dad continues to feel better and not so yucky. Hope you get the feeding time figured out, and thats good she is eating better from the plate too! Have a great day!

Your theory sounds perfectly logical to me. But be careful when trying to apply logic to cats!

I'm glad Trixie is a happy little glutton today. It's wonderful that she's getting more confident and more independent. Pretty soon you'll be complaining that she doesn't need you anymore! :o

Sounds like you might have the beginnings of arthritis in your hands. I drop things a lot, and when it's cold my fingers are really stiff. Have you tried running some warm water over them for a few minutes when they feel this way? I find it helps me.

Sending healing vines for your DF and your hands.

That makes sense to me about the workout schedule. It's great to hear Trixie is being gluttonous again today. I'm sorry the cold bothers your hands. Sending more prayers for your dad.

Any change of routine can influence numbers, I think. The important thing is that Trixie's pancreas is working!

Hi Amy, i hope your dad is feeling better tonight. Bummer on the cold weather's influence on your hands. No wonder you don't like winter!! if it is arthritis, asperin every day might help.

Have a good evening after that busy day at the store.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty
