Yesterday's Free at Last! Condo

Back to my old bad habits - late condo. Sorry.

It's been Barf Central around here today. Harvey started it shortly after eating his breakfast and took the fun all around the family room and into the living room! :o I have no idea what caused it, and ten minutes later he was happily eating! Then, despite getting her Cerenia two hours before, Sasha threw up all over her carrier right after I strapped it down in the car! I guess I shouldn't have given her breakfast, even 3.5 hours before we were to leave. Next time, no food at all!

Cinco, on the other hand, has been quietly enjoying his collarless life. His appetite is stellar. He pulled another late nadir cycle today, and I am not even going to try to guess where this is going. I wouldn't object to a visit to the lagoon this evening, though (hint, hint)!

Sasha had her bloodwork done at UCD this afternoon. As usual, she was greeted with enthusiasm by one and all. Her Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Pfeiffer, just happened to be walking through the waiting room when they brought Sasha back out to me, and she had to stop for a quick chat and some scritches. The nurse said Sasha's weight was the same as the last time they'd weighed her (which is good), and her vitals were all good. She said she was a little sweetheart throughout being weighed, examined and stuck. I got a refill on the Cerenia and the nurse gave me a package of Hill's Prescription treats for cats with food issues. She said she gave Sasha a couple and she LOVED them. She said if I want more, they will arrange for me to get them at their pharmacy. I gave Sasha a couple when we got home and she gobbled them up.

So now I'm off to the grocery store to get stuff for tonight's dinner.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Wendy's DM and Elise's DM. Still cheering on Skunky's OTJ trial! :-D

Sorry about all the vomit today. I'm glad Sasha's vitals were good. I hope her b/w is good too. Hopefully Cinco will keep sliding down to the lagoon for you tonight.

Great news on Sasha and on Cinco's nice day. How wonderful that he is enjoying his freedom from the cone so much.
Sorry to hear about the barfing spree!!

Have a good evening.

It's so nice to have a cat that everyone likes, isn't it? Tiffany was like that and so is Max except for when they caged him for the curve. Now my Mandie was one that only a mother could love.

I hope the vomiting is over for all and you have a nice relaxing night. You've earned it.

Thank you for the prayers.

Re: 9/16 Cinco PMPS 181

Thanks for visiting, Elise, Ella, Carla and Molly.

Sasha's bloodwork came back all good and the oncologist wants to keep her chemo dose the same. She said to try to be more proactive with the ondansetron, which was my plan.

Harvey has been just fine since the barf spree. I guess it was just a scarf and barf.

Gotta get dinner going.

Skoots, I's gonna try to take a swim tonight. Can't promise I'll make it all the way there, but I's off to a good start. Wait for me, 'k? - Cinco

Re: 9/16 Cinco PMPS 181

Sorry to hear about the barfing today! But yay for good bloodwork!! That's awesome. And yay for Sasha having special treats that she loves. It sounds like the UCD team is wonderful!

Yes, Deanna. They are wonderful. I'm thinking of switching Cinco from his regular vet to UCD. I've been taking him to a vet close to home because he doesn't travel well and the vet I take the rest of the cats to is in Sacramento - over an hour away. UCD is about 35 minutes away, but they offer so much that a regular vet can't, and with all Cinco's issues, I'm thinking they would be a better fit. When it's time for his next well cat check up, I'm gonna take him to them.

Now if I could just get him down off the blue floor....

Slowly drifting down the blues is still pretty nice for a night cycle. I love hearing about a stellar appy.

Great news about Sasha's b/w - UCD does sound like a great place to have as a regular vet. Everything you want and more in one place. Paws crossed barfing is in the rear view mirror now.
