What an UGLY bounce from last night!! I can't believe he's THAT high and its not like he was showing signs of going that high last night. I didn't feel like I overdid it on the HC....because I didn't want something like this to happen...and then it happens!! So frustrating!

I'm sorry Pamela...but he did have beautiufl numbers yesterday. We all hate bounces sooo much....but there is nothing to do but grit your teeth and bear it. :YMSIGH:
Come on down Lighting....as soon as possible...a nice slow descent into prettier numbers leas...

How much HC you feed has very little to do with a bounce. Bounces are due to Lightning's body (i.e., liver) not being used to spending time in the lower number range or if numbers drop quickly. The liver "panics" and dumps stored glucose and counterregulatory hormones into the blood stream. The only thing that really helps to reduce bouncing is spending more time in lower numbers so Lightning's liver recognizes these ranges as normal again.

I hope the bounce clears quickly.

ouch on the bounce - but as others have said not too much you can do about it. wait it out, and hope they learn to bounce less. eventually they do. Mannie used to bounce well up into the 400's - ugly! I hope Lightnings clears quickly.

That makes me feel better knowing the HC I give him doesn't affect him as much as his own body....so now I'm mad at Lightning's liver and not myself!!

Well, PMPS is better than AMPS that's for sure.....will check him again in probably 4 hours (before bed) unless something changes. He's doing great, sitting in the box his new feeder came in (aka his new favorite place) and playing with one of his mousey's He's so freaking cute I can barely stand it!!!
