Fitzel is definitely losing weight. No question. I did get her to eat her breffis this am and will be doing testing in 3-4hr increments. This is a bit of a mystery to me. She's not herself, that's for sure - but she's not doing anything which appears to be FD related. No extra drinking. No extra peeing. Her morning deposits are exactly as they should be - in the amount which is normal for her.
She did throw up yesterday - looked like bile, but could have just been fluid. She did it on our 1 year old rug - which is a nice autumn beige - not sure we would have picked this color if we knew how close it was to that particular hue of barf. :? :?
I don't want to take her to the vet - it's a nightmare for her. She HATES the carrier. Once inside she panics - throwing herself against the soft sides until she's foaming and exhausted. But this is nothing compared to her behavior seeing a vet (even one who comes to the house which is how we've dealt with her until her FD diagnosis). And then, it can take up to 4 days before she returns to anything like normal. We've had Fitzel since she was 1 year old. We have no idea what her life experiences were prior to us. But we believe she was a feral, though obviously we can't be sure.
Sending healing vines to all who are in need, both furrs and Beans.
