Yesterday's Condo
Thanks for stopping by, Molly, Amy and Carla.
We are home from the Ophthalmologist. The news is mostly good. The corneal ulcer is completely healed.

The pressure in the eye is perfect.

There is still some inflammation from the FHV. :-| So he discontinued one kind of eyedrop (a three times a day drop - yay!), but the others will continue until surgery. He said we can take the cone off, BUT we need to watch to be sure he doesn't rub at the eye and cause further damage - the inflammation may feel uncomfortable and cause him to rub it. When we got home, I took the cone off and thoroughly washed his face with a warm washcloth, paying special attention to the area around the eye. He wasn't thrilled about the process, but I could tell it felt good to him. When I let him go, he went to his favorite spot and laid down. He kept shifting his head, like he couldn't figure out how to get comfortable now! After a while he decided to have a bath - something I know he's been dying to do. I just watched him wash his face - apparently I didn't do it right  - and he didn't spend an unusual amount of time on the left side, so I think he's not going to mess with it (
anti-jinx). I'm debating about putting the collar back on while we're gone at bowling tonight. Overall, I think I'm more excited about the collar being off that he is! He's a very mellow cat.
I got a +10.5 test after we got home, just to see where Cinco was, and we have a sort of double dip - it's hard to call it a real one, since he had only gone up to 102. Now I'm wondering what he has in mind for tonight! I like to think he usually nadiers around +5, but looking at his spreadsheet lately, he's been all over the map! I'm going to give him some 8% for his t/f/s and hope he behaves! If we leave the collar off, I can set Otto up to give him a snack at +2, and maybe +4. We should be home around +5. I just checked and the bathing has progressed to his nether regions - sorely needed as he does NOT like Mama to help with that area at all!!
Sasha has done well today - eaten well with no problems. I woke up early to give her Ondansetron an hour before feeding. I will give her another dose tonight when we get home, as that will be a little more than 12 hours, and we always give them all a snack when we get home. Tomorrow morning she gets the Cerenia two hours before we leave for UCD for her bloodwork. It's a week today since her chemo, so I'm going to try not giving her any more anti-nausea meds after the Cerenia tomorrow. Hopefully she'll be done with the side effects by then and we can do without until the next round.
Gotta run and get ready to head to the bowling alley. Have a great night, every one. Sorry I didn't get to condos today. I'll make some late night visits when we get home.
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Wendy's DM and Elise's DM. Thinking of Marje and Jill as they mourn loved ones that crossed this past week.
