What a nice start for Charlie today. You surf well today little one.

I hope all goes well with Tommy's dental tomorrow. Positive vines for Tommy. Aftercare usually is fairly basic, they will give you post dental instructions based on what they find. For me the main thing was, keep a watchful eye when they get home, as usually they are still a bit loopy from the anesthesia. Feed only small amounts of food to start to make sure it settles well before offering full meals. and of course lots of cuddle time. Be sure to ask questions here if you are concerned post dental. most of us have been through it alot of times. Good luck!

Sending dental vines for Tommy! Michelle covered the basics...a few other things are: Don't forget the pain meds, especially if he has extractions! No Metacam for pain, though - it is black boxed by the FDA for causing kidney failure in cats. Bupe is the pain med of choice.

An antibiotic after a dental is important, too, because the mouth is loaded with bacteria that can get set free into the bloodstream, even without extractions. Many vets seem to like Convenia here, but that is also not a good choice - it's not an appropriate AB for dental procedures, and because it is an injection that last 2 weeks, if there is a negative reaction to it, it can be very difficult to manage.

+2.75 72 ran to walmart to resupply my MC/HC foods
+3.5 63 fed 1 tsp mc
+ 3.75 59 going to add .25 hc to his +4 meal... does not seam like the mc is cutting it.
