SOOO, I came home from work at 4:30 today and decided to test him....316hmmmm
ok he wanted to go outside, he chased a squirrel (they were all laughing at him I felt so bad!)
wondered around and came in at 5:10...ok good 40 min of exercise, so I took his blood........
241...WHAT!! ok so for 40 minutes of a little exercise and his blood glucose dropped
75 points.....so I guess like we said 2 weeks ago....break out the treadmills,
jack la lane tapes or richard simmons and lets get our groove on!!

Squirrels laughing at him, lol. I have a civie named Mullet (13 or 14 years young) who is an inni-outie cat. Back in the day he was quite a hunter, and even now he'll occasionally bring me a gift of a mole or a rat. I was sitting on the porch the other day and heard the squirrels raising cain in the yard, which usually means that there's a cat in the vicinity. I looked and saw Mullet sitting by the side of the car, and a squirrel was less than 3 feet away from him on a tree, just chucking and screeching at him, like he was saying "haha old man, you can't get me!".... Mullet put up with it for a couple minutes, and I thought he was going to give it his best shot. But he just looked at the squirrel and made the most pitiful crying sound I'd ever heard him make. I think he was telling the squirrel, "ok, yeah, I can't get you so please please just leave me alone?"

Exercise = lower BG. It does seem to be happening! Okay, if everyone wants low preshots, just chase kitty around the house for 10-20 minutes before testing (assuming you can do that and not stress them out!). Guaranteed Blue PS's!

It actually does make logical sense. When food is digested, it is supposed to supply energy to muscles (in the form of glucose?) so by running around, he'd be using that food the way nature intended. I think.

I remember you saying Shakes always had better #'s on Sat when he was out checking out the yard. I've heard the same for people. I suppose that's why Thumper's #'s are so bad....she hardly moves!

That should drop him about 10 points... ;-)
