It has been about 22 hours since her last insulin injection. I'm going to check her again in 2 hours.

It seems like every time I post a question about something crazy she is doing, she fixes it. Yesterday, I asked why she stays in the blues and greens during the day with 0.2U, but then raises to the pinks during the night on the same dosage. Then today, she throws a curveball and stays in the blues all night. Crazy girl!

Re: 9/14 Missy AMPS 166 **Give Insulin or Keep Monitoring?

+22 166 (unknown when she last ate)
+24 173 (two hours fasting)
+27 153 (two hours after eating)

Should I give her a tiny bit of insulin? Should I just keep monitoring throughout the day and give insulin if she goes above 180 or so? Should I not worry about it until this evening?

I've almost always had a shootable number, so I'm not sure what to do in this case.

Personally I would wait it out. She is getting big results on such tiny doses as it is.

Her bg came down after eating, you may not have to worry about insulin much longer.

Test if you have a chance, in case she decides to start going back up, but wow it's been over 27 hours.

I just checked her at 36 hours out from the last insulin dose. She jumped up to 385. I should've checked her sooner to catch her before she rose too high, but she was doing so good today and I wanted to give her ears a little break. So, we'll go with the 0.2U tonight. Some folks over on Health suggested I give 0.1U if she starts hanging out around 150-170 again like she's been doing the past few days. It's nice to have a plan.
